Chapter 432

It was late at night. Grace looked at her watch and realised that it had been three hours since Heinz

had left. It was already eleven o'clock at night, and Heinz had not come back yet.

She didn't know how Jodie's father was doing. Would he become more agitated because of Heinz's

presence? He finally calmed himself down, and she didn't want his condition to worsen again because

of Heinz.

She wanted to call Heinz to ask, but she did not make the phone call in the end.

Soon, another hour passed.

It was past 12 o'clock, and he hadn't come back yet.

She didn't feel sleepy either, so she just waited patiently.

It took another half an hour for Heinz to come back.

Hearing the sound of the engine, she quickly went downstairs to welcome him. He had already entered

the door with a very tired and depressed look.

Heinz felt as if his whole body had been exhausted by his trip to the hospital.

"How was it?" she asked as she took over his coat. "Are you all right?"

Looking at her concerned eyes, Heinz was very sorry. He looked at her deeply and said softly, "He's

okay. At least he did not get into a coma."

"Oh," Grace also breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good. If he falls into a coma again, you will be

worried again. Go and wash yourself up. You must be tired."

"It's alright," he said apologetically. "You've been waiting for so long. It's all my fault."

"No, it's all right," she assured as she shook her head.

Heinz stared deeply into her eyes. After a long time, he said, "I'm going to take a bath."

"Do you still want to eat something?" After thinking for a while, she asked, "I can heat it up for you."

"It's alright, I do not want anything," Heinz said, "Help me get my clothes, I'll take a shower."

"Alright then." Grace followed him upstairs too.

Heinz had no appetite at all. Today while listening to how Nathan scolded him, he almost lost it several

times. However, once he remembered that he had lost his daughter and was merely a lonely old man,

he could not bear to refute him.

After all, Jodie had passed away. It was understandable for her father to feel sad.

In addition, he was very ill, so Heinz did not want to argue with him.

However, seeing Grace and realizing that she had been waiting for him for so long, he felt really sorry.

The two of them went up together with Grace following closely behind. Heinz's figure was tall and

straight, and he looked very tired.

Feeling a little sorry for him, she helped him find his clothes. Then she quickly went downstairs to get

him a cup of warm water and put it on the bedside table.

Heinz took a bath. He got rid of all the tiredness and became a lot more energetic.

When he came out, she was already lying on the bed. The lights were turned off, leaving only a small

desk lamp on the bedside table.

When she saw him come out wrapped in a bathrobe, she said, "There is some warm water. Drink some

and get some rest. I still have a lot of work to do tomorrow."

She yawned as she spoke.

"You've really waited too long. Don't wait for me in the future. You can go to sleep first."

"It's okay, I couldn't sleep either." She covered her small mouth with her hand. "I was also worried, but

now that you've told me everything is fine, I'm relieved and finally sleepy."

"I'm also sleepy, but I'm sure I can't fall asleep." There was a hidden message in his words.

Grace nodded, thinking that he was still thinking about Mr. Lawson and his difficulties. "Don't worry too

much. The old man's blood pressure is not good, and he can't be triggered. You should be more

patient."

"I almost lost it," Heinz said. "If you hadn't told me earlier not to get angry with the old man, I probably

wouldn't have been able to control myself."

That was because Mr. Lawson had been too irascible at the hospital.

At that time, Heinz still held his temper.

"It seems that you managed to hold back," Grace smiled. "Well done! You see, endurance is not

impossible for you."

Heinz sat down by the bed and looked at her carefully. He felt bad that she had been waiting for him for

a long time. He had planned to have a candlelit dinner with her and even planned a fun night with her,

but he had come home late.

After drinking the cup of warm water that she had prepared, he felt warm in his heart.

He took a towel and dried his hair. Then, he opened the drawer of the bedside table and took a small

bag out of it.

Grace heard the noise. Looking at him, Grace asked sleepily, "Why aren't you sleeping? Aren't you

sleepy?"

Heinz gave her the bag.

After taking it over, she asked in surprise, "What is this?"

"See it for yourself," he said.

His voice was a little hoarse.

She looked down and saw that the thing in her hand was a plastic package. It was red in color and

looked very small. There was a circle in the middle of it.

Almost instantly, she understood what it was.

Then, her face turned red.

Her long eyelashes trembled slightly, and she fluttered a little bashfully. "What time is it now? Why are

you still doing this?"

"I promised you that I'll spend this wonderful night with you. But now, it's past midnight. Let’s do it." He

lifted the blanket and crawled in.

"No," Grace grabbed the quilt almost reflexively and threw it to him.

Heinz smiled and said, "Try delaying this and we really won't sleep tonight."

"Heinz, I have an interview task tomorrow. I will be very busy tomorrow and for the next few days." She

added, "And I feel very weak."

"Have you taken any medicine?" asked Heinz.novelbin

After looking at it, she was stunned. "Oh, no, I forgot to take medicine this evening."

She completely forgot it as soon as she started working.

Heinz immediately frowned and picked up the phone. "Wait for me."

He called Lester. "Lester, do you remember the medicine Chief Stone prescribed for Grace? Go to the

hospital to get the medicine and send it to the villa in the mountain. Make sure it is ready by tonight."

"It's so late already," Grace whispered.

Heinz ignored her. He ordered Lester to prepare the medicine during the night to make up for his own

shortcomings.

After hanging up the phone, just as she was about to speak, Heinz pressed down on her. His eyes

lowered as they fixed on her. He said, "When everything is over tonight, you can then take the

medicine."

"But -"

Before she could finish her words, she was stopped by him.

All the words that she was about to say were stuck in her mouth.

Her heart was beating violently and she could not calm down for a long time.

Heinz put his face in her ear and said softly, "Grace. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry for what I did today."

"It's okay." She shook her head after thinking for a while. "I said, I don't mind."

"But I feel very bad," he said softly, "Do you know? It's the most depressing time of my life."

She froze for a moment. She gently put her hand on his back and said softly, "It doesn't matter. I'm here

for you."

Heinz looked at her without saying anything. He looked at her eyes with a loving gaze.

Grace smiled and yawned again. She couldn't help but laugh, "You see, I'm so sleepy and you still want

to toss and turn me around. You also need me to take medicine."

"Then you sleep. I'll do it myself," he said in a low voice.
