Chapter 1840

The atmosphere in the Jones family's house was really bustling.

As soon as Jensen joined them, Timothy arrived too

He was worried about Grace after seeing the news, thus he hurriedly went all the way to visit her. He was relieved to see Grace doing fine.Of course, he was also happy to see the girlfriends of his grandsons

Zayne also joined them shortly after.

He was also worried about Grace and that was why he visited. He was surprised to see that Timothy was there too. He noticed that his nephews andtheir girlfriends were there as well. Zayne wanted to leave but Grace made him stay for the meal

With Jensen, Timothy, and Zayne joining the gathering, it became even more meaningful

After their meal, the men went to the reception room and talked about business.

Meanwhile, the women were still chatting.

After sitting down, Jensen said to Heinz, "I didn't expect that you would set Marry and Simon up. I can't figure out what's on your mind."Heinz immediately raised a brow and said, "Have you heard about it already? That's quick. It literally just happened."

"Of course,” Jensen smiled and said, "I have my reliable sources.”

Jensen then looked at Timothy and Zayne as he asked, "Mr. Yarbrough, Zayne, have you heard of this yet? Otherwise, I can fill you in on what Heinzdid. Most likely, you wouldn't have known what he did yet.”

Timothy nodded. "You mentioned that he set Marry and Simon up, didn't you? What exactly happened?"

"It's simple," Zayne said as he looked at Timothy, "Simon was the one behind the news that was published today, and I believe that Heinz decided totake the higher ground instead. Although I don't know the details, I can guess the news must have something to do with Simon."

"You're smart, Zayne. You actually got it right," Jensen praised. "Simon was indeed behind this. He worked with Michael, the husband of Cindy'sagent, to come up with this.”

"He really thinks too highly of himself to even want to scheme against my sister." There was a sharp glint in Zayne’s gaze as he curled his lips into asmirk. He glanced at Heinz. clearly upset at him.

"See? I'm not the only one who doesn't understand your plans.” Jensen then looked at Timothy, "Mr. Yarbrough, don't you have something to say aswell?"

"I'm still trying to understand what happened.” Timothy frowned in confusion. "Why is Simon so obsessed with scheming against Grace, and why didHeinz decide to bring him and Marry back together?"

"That's because Heinz believed that by bringing them back together, they'd keep themselves busy and away from troubling others,” Jensenexplained.

Timothy immediately understood. "So that's what it is? Heinz, don't you think you're being too emotional this time? I understand you're being open-hearted, but then we never know what they would actually think about this. After all, haven't they been too harsh to Grace and Gary's girlfriend?”

"Dad, you should just directly ask Heinz if his heart has softened as he ages. If he can't protect Grace, I'll do it myself," Zayne said indifferently, without trying to be polite towards Heinz at all.

Heinz's face fell. This brother-in-law of his really left him speechless at times when he decided to be harshWhy were they exaggerating about what he did in bringing Marry and Simon back together? Were they thinking that Heinz was being protective of Marry and Simon, and that he wasn't doing right by Grace?

Heinz glanced at Zayne and said helplessly, “Zayne, you can stop with the sarcasm. I know you worry about Grace, but then you should also trustthat I do love her."

"I can't see it," Zayne said harshly, "That's why I can't believe it either.”

Being the elder in the room, Timothy glanced at Zayne

Over the years, Timothy could tell that Heinz was really in love with Grace

Naturally, he could also believe that Heinz’s feelings were genuine.

However, Zayne was protective of Grace too. Timothy was glad to see his children getting along, as that would be the biggest wish of all dadsThat was especially so when they were halfsiblings with different mothers.

It was rare for half-siblings like them to care that much for each other.

Jensen couldn't help but to burst into laughter. "Zayne, you don't have to be so sensitive about this. There is no doubt in Heinz's feelings for yoursister. I know you're only upset because Heinz shouldn't be showing them kindness after the news that had been created."

Heinz nodded.

Zayne just glanced at Heinz indifferently, his face expressionless.

Timothy took the opportunity and said, "Heinz, don't take his words to heart. He's only worried about Grace.”

"I understand.” Heinz smiled and nodded.

"However, do let me remind you to consider more and discuss with others before you come up with a decision next time," Jensen said.

Heinz was startled. He frowned slightly and asked, "By the way, how did you get to know about this so quickly? This is way too quick. Did you arrangefor someone to keep tabs on me?"

Jensen denied right away, "Of course not. What do you think of me? Ernest told me about this.”Heinz was a little surprised

"Did he tell you so quickly?” "To be exact, I asked him about this." Jensen eliminated Heinz's doubts. "Don't worry. Ernest is a good kid.”

"He has always been a good kid, but

now he keeps-surprising me with his

sharp tongue, and I can't figure outs

why. I’m quite surprised, as he's =

even harsher than Gary," Heinzsaid,

"‘Garylised to be the harsh one but

he's-getting better, while atthe same

tie, Ernest is getting harsher."

Hearing that, Jensen smiled. "Perhaps he's just late into his rebellious phase. You know, he has always been the obedient kid. Also, you bringingSimon and Marry back together might have upset him too much. After all, they almost sold him away back then.”Hearing that, Heinz was also startled.

That was right.

Back then, Simon and Marry sold Ernest over to the traffickers, and they almost lost Ernest.

Noticing Heinz's reaction as if hewas really taking his wordsseriously, Jénsen sighed. "If it wasntfor the faet that it was so fated that Igot to find the kid and nave broughthim babk to you, he might not évengetto return to your side. If thettaftickers sold him to somewhereelse, he might be gone férever. Hewas lucky. Content belongs toNovelDrama.Org

However, what if he couldn't come back?Aren't you frightened by that thought?”Heinz nodded.

It was not just fear. He could feel a chill running down his spine.

"If you want to be that generous and kind, why don't you be a monk instead? You could give advices to everyone, and you could be of service to evenmore people," Zayne said.

Jensen laughed. "A monk? That seems like a great idea, but I don't think he's that noble yet.”

"He can forgive just anyone by the looks of it. I'm not sure if he even has any principles to speak of," Zayne said in a deep voice."You're right. He doesn't have any principles anymore.” Jensen gave Heinz a pitiful look for having a harsh brother-in-law.

He was clearly defending Grace by being harsh towards Heinz.

Jensen pitied Heinz for being in such a situation

Zayne glanced at Jensen. "Mr. Charm, are you perhaps agreeing to what I said?"novelbin

Jensen sniffed and felt a little embarrassed, but then he nodded. "I do agree with you. We should at least keep a bottam line and make sure no onecrosses it. Otherwise, things would just end up in a mess. Now that it's already happened, why don't we just wait and see?”
