Chapter 1672

Grace sat on the sofa for a while after she hung up. Then, Heinz walked in.

Heinz saw her spacing out and asked, "Honey, what's wrong? What's on your mind?"

Grace was jolted back to her senses, and she met Heinz's gaze. A short pause later, she explained,"I was thinking about Celeste's background.”

"What's wrong with that?" Heinz sat down next to Grace and asked, "Didn't we agree not to bring itup again?"

"Gary and Celeste know, and Sinclair himself knows as well. It seems that we won't be able to hideCeleste's identity any longer. Sinclair is mired in scandals, and he wants to leak Celeste'sconnection to our family to the press so that he can redeem himself once again. What do we do?"Grace asked.

Heinz replied, "Let's just see what happens. The most important thing now is that we have to takecare of Celeste's feelings. Sinclair will always be Celeste's father, but how she deals with it is whatmatters more." "I comforted Celeste earlier. Let's see if Sinclair has the balls to try and use ourfamily as a stepping stone."

Heinz nodded and sighed, "Yeah, but Sinclair is too much of a playboy. My investigations haveshown that he's slept with no less than a hundred women. It's embarrassing for Celeste to havesuch a playboy for a father."

"More than a hundred women?" Grace was shocked and gasped, "Didn't Suanne find out? Sheseems to be a very capable woman, so how is it possible that she didn't find out?"

"Isn't Hermione a strong woman too? She still ended up being cheated on," Heinz said.

Grace was rendered speechless for a moment.

"Some things are just not as simple as they seem," Heinz explained, "Suanne looks powerful, butshe is just a woman after all. She's always been behind the scenes, and she never had much of anopportunity to participate in her husband's affairs. Meanwhile, Sinclair has a lot of chances to meetartists, college girls and young budding talents, who all throw themselves at him once they have achance to."

She nodded and said, "Yes, some people are just willing to sleep with him. It's difficult to put theblame on one single party." "He was involved with plenty of women 20 years ago, and Cindy,Monica and Celeste's mother all fell for his charms. He's not an easy man to deal with."

"He's a playboy," Grace said with a sense of disgust, "Forget it, let's not talk about him. I feel sickjust thinking about him."

"You're not the only one," Heinz nodded, "Oh right, Jensen and Alice will come over later while theirkids are at school. We're going to have lunch together."

"Did Jensen tell you, or did Alice tell you?" Grace asked.

"Alice called me," Heinz said.

Grace frowned and asked, "Why didn't Alice call me instead?"

"Are you jealous?" Heinz asked in a threatening tone.

"What for? I'm not jealous, just curious. I thought you and Alice never ever saw eye to eye, and yetyou're so chummy now?" Grace thought that Alice had grown more respectful of Heinz over theyears, and she frequently discussed the business affairs of the Sunny Group with him.

Furthermore, Heinz taught Alice all he knew.

Alice also put in a lot of effort, and the Sunny Group thrived under her management.

Although the company was much smaller than the Jones Estate or the Lowe Group, it was slowlygetting bigger.

Jensen had also been promoted and was currently the Inspector- General of the Northern City'spolice force. He was exemplary at his work.

They had a small family with a son and a daughter, and they lived very happily.

Alice's mother- in- law also became much less annoying over the years. Her attitude had improvedonce she got grandchildren.

"Your sister is technically my sister as well. Jensen is like a brother to me, and his wife will betreated like my own sister. Of course I'll treat Alice better."

Heinz said those words so confidently that Grace had no reason to refute him.

Grace looked at him and smiled, saying, "Nice. You've been a very good brother-in-law."novelbin

"My dear, you still sound a little bit jealous," Heinz reached out to Grace and laid his head on hershoulders intimately.

"Nope, I'm not. Stop teasing me," Grace smiled at Heinz, "I just remembered that Gary and Celestesaid that Sinclair knew Celeste was his daughter. The problem is, how did Gary and Celeste findout?"

Heinz glanced at his wife and guessed, "Gary is very clever. It's not difficult for him to gaininformation."

"I'm just worried he'll underestimate Sinclair. You know how he is, Gary is overconfident and it mightbe his downfall one day," Grace sighed worriedly.

"I've sent someone over to watch them. Don't worry. They are Zachary's men, and they've beendispatched to protect Liam and Maria, so there's no need to be worried," Heinz replied.

"What about Sinclair and Monica?" Grace asked, "I know that Cindy and Monica's husband wentabroad. According to our sources, they're in London. What about Sinclair and Monica then? There'sno news about them."

"They're in London too, and all four of them are gathered there. Guess where?" Heinz asked.

"Where?" Grace looked at Heinz in confusion.

"The villa that Ernest used to live in, the one that Cindy bought. It is said that Sinclair also boughtone there."

"How did you know about this?" Grace looked at him with a frown, "Why didn't you tell me?"

Heinz shrugged, "I just found out myself and I haven't had the chance to tell you yet. Jensen toldme that he sent men to keep an eye on Sinclair and Monica. It was clear that they were on a flightto London, and I'm sure Gary knew about that too. I'm sure that he also knows about Sinclairrealizing that he's Celeste's father through covert surveillance. Technology is Gary's strong suit."

"You are very confident in Gary," Nevertheless, Grace was still worried.

"Relax. Gary's proved himself to be quite capable in recent years, and his small company is doingwell. He won't starve."

"Is not starving to death the best achievement one can have?"

"Of course not. It's best that he can live independently, and he even found a girlfriend to keep hisown hormones in check. What's there to worry about?"

Grace was speechless.

"Well, come on up with me. We'll go downstairs once Alice and Jensen arrive," Heinz pulled onGrace's hand, sending her signals with his eyes.

Grace asked, "Aren't you going to the office?"

"What for?"

"Isn't it too much if you just come and go to the office as you please?" Grace was shocked byHeinz's actions. The children were gone, and yet Heinz was still so laissez-faire about going towork.

He spent most of his time with her at home, and he was basically attached to her hip.

"Of course, I'm the boss, and what I say is final. I can solve problems with just a phone call. I wouldbe a laughingstock if I spent all my time in the office at my age."

Grace was lost for words.

"Fine, whatever you say," Grace stood up and tried to make a run for it, "I'll tell the butler to preparea sumptuous lunch."

"I'm way ahead of you. I told him earlier while I was in the courtyard. Now, your time belongs to me,"Heinz grinned at Grace, "Let's go, honey."

Just as Grace was about to refuse, Heinz swept her up in his arms and carried her upstairs.

Once upstairs, Grace looked at Heinz's handsome face and sighed, "Heinz, you're so energeticevery day. Won't you get tired of me?"

"Why would I ever get tired of you?" Heinz gave Grace a confused look, "I've been holding myselfback around you. Honey, do you think I'm not trying hard enough? I would have given it my all if Iwasn't worried that your body wouldn't be able to take it."

"I just think that you've been really good to me," Grace smiled, "You've been really wonderful,Heinz."

"You're my wife, so of course I'll treat you like a princess. I wouldn't treat any random woman likethis," Heinz chuckled.
