Chapter 1609

Liam seemed to have realized how inconsiderate he was in his eagerness. "I'm sorry," he said as helooked down at Maria.

Maria immediately shook her head and whispered, "It's fine."

In fact, she could understand him, and she liked the way he missed her very much. The stronger hisemotions, the more it proved that he loved her.

Knowing that, she felt her feelings for him grow even stronger than before.

Seeing how she looked at him with so much warmth and care, Liam could not help but take pity onher.

He did not move. Instead, he stared at her and waited for a while.

Feeling embarrassed under his unflinching gaze, Maria said, "Don't look at me like that."

Upon hearing that, Liam laughed.

After their shower, the two of them laid on the bed in Maria's room. Liam's gaze was gentle as helooked at her. "Sorry, I was too eager just now."

Maria shook her head. "I told you, it's okay."

She had felt embarrassed when he apologized earlier.

But now, he was still apologizing.

Liam lowered his head and looked at her. Her face was flushed from the shower and she lookedexceptionally beautiful. When she looked at him with her big, doe-like eyes, she was as cute as abutton.

He felt his body burn with desire once more. He leaned over and whispered in Maria's ear, "Shallwe do it one more time? What do you think?"

Maria was flustered. "Didn't we just do it?"

"It has been too long. I still can't help myself." He felt that he could not control himself whenever hesaw her.

He wanted more of her.

Maria pursed her lips and did not say anything.

Liam pulled back slightly and looked into her eyes. "Shall we not?"

Maria shook her head, blushing even more.

He smiled as he gazed longingly at her lips.

Maria's heart tightened as Liam's handsome face drew nearer. Finally, his lips touched hers.

He wrapped an arm tightly around her waist, pulling her slender figure closer to him. They were soclose to each other that they seemed to be inseparable.

Maria moaned as he kissed her. Liam was just too frightening.

He smothered her with insistent kisses, not giving her a chance to breathe at all. One kiss followedanother, again and again. She felt that his skills seemed to have improved since the summer break.

Practice makes perfect? Maria wondered.

Or had he used their time apart to ponder how he could take his kissing technique to the next leveland become more skilled?

Maria's mind was filled with a jumble of thoughts.

"Don't be distracted." When Liam noticed that her mind seemed to have wandered off, he orderedaggressively, "Look at me."

Maria came to her senses and looked into his eyes, then stuck out her tongue.

"Sorry. It just feels like you're... You're a bit..." She started to speak but thought better of it andstopped.

Flustered, Liam asked, "Feels like what?"

"It's nothing," Maria answered, shaking her head.

Liam took her hand and showed her just how aroused he was.

She gasped and immediately withdrew her hand, but he covered her mouth once more with his.

Maria wanted to shout, but with his mouth pressed to hers, she had no way of doing so

When he heard her whimper, he suddenly laughed silently. The crooked smile on his lips was socharming.

They went at it for more than an hour until Maria felt that her physical strength could not keep up atall. However, Liam seemed to be very happy and relaxed.

He did not look tired at all. As a matter of fact, it seemed that he still had a lot of strength.

Maria begged, "Liam, that's quite enough. Let's have a rest, okay?"

"What's wrong?" Liam looked at her and asked, "Isn't this great?"

"It's great, but I'm tired." Maria shook her head. "I'm just too tired. I admit defeat. I can't keep up withyou at all."

Liam laughed "You're going to admit defeat just like that?"

"Yes." Maria nodded fervently. "I surrender. I truly surrender."

Liam breathed a sigh of relief. "I thought that you weren't satisfied with me." "No, I'm very satisfied."Maria shook her head once more.

However, Liam did not stop at once. Instead, he continued for a long time.

After a long, long time, Maria finally regained her freedom.

She could clearly see the smile on his lips. His smile was so warm that it seemed like it could melticebergs and signal the arrival of spring.

Maria suddenly remembered how much Liam loved to smile four years ago. However, during histhree years studying at the University of London, he did not seem to smile much. Moreover, inrecent years, his career was at an all-time low. These hardships had taken away all his joy andsmiles.

It warmed her heart to see that satisfied smile on his face once more. That was the joy she hadgiven him, and it made her feel gratified.

When they were about to go downstairs together, Maria's legs were so weak that she almost fellseveral times.

Liam stretched out his hand immediately to steady her. He chuckled and asked, "What's wrong?Can't you walk anymore?"

"It's all because of you," Maria complained shyly.

As her legs were still too weak, Liam decided to pick her up in his arms.

Maria let out a small scream as she felt her body being lifted into the air. Then, she found herselflooking directly into his eyes.

He was still smiling, and the smile on his face never left. She looked at him fondly and asked softly,"Why aren't you tired yet?"

"That's because I have specifically trained myself in order to please you. I have been training mystamina and physique for the past three months," he replied with a grin.

Maria was surprised. "So you've been training all this time? Are you really so self-disciplined?"

"That's right. I'm always ready. Are you satisfied?"

Maria was too embarrassed to answer, but she still nodded.

Liam placed Maria down in front of the table. Only then did they realize that the food had alreadygone cold.

Maria said, "I think we should go and heat up the food."

Liam glanced at the food on the table. They had indeed gone cold.

He looked around and asked, "Where's the kitchen? I'll bring the microwave over."

Before Maria could tell him, Liam was already striding toward the kitchen. He quickly brought themicrowave over and warmed up all the food on the dining table.

Then, they sat down to eat. Maria was like a hungry child and had soon stuffed her mouth full.

When Liam saw how hungry she was, he could not help but ask, "Didn't you say that you ate beforeheading out? Why are so hungry?"

Maria spoke with her mouth full, "It's because I used too much energy. After taking a shower, we..."

She was too embarrassed to go on. Anyone would be tired after doing that for two to three hoursstraight. She had used up all her energy.

Liam smiled when he saw Maria's shy face and did not say anything else. He knew what she hadwanted to say.

The two of them ate in silence.

Since the butler and the servants had made themselves scarce, no one came to disturb them.

They were glad that they could spend some time together by themselves. After filling up theirstomachs and recovering some of their strength, Liam carried her to the bedroom on the secondfloor before she could even say a word.

They did not come out of the room for the rest of the day.

Downstairs, the butler and servants quietly cleaned up the table. They placed the microwave backin the kitchen, then quietly slipped away.

Maria woke up in the middle of the night, feeling tired and dazed. She could hear Liam talking onthe phone.

"I'm not in the country. If there's anything, we'll talk about it in a week."

Although she was in a daze, she was still able to think. She wondered if Liam was really going tostay in London for a week.

However, the things she heard next startled her.

"I didn't think that you would go against me, but now that you've gone ahead and made thosearrangements, I really think that you're just making things difficult for me. I told you that I'm inLondon, but you still insist on meeting me now. I can't do that."

Maria immediately opened her eyes and looked at Liam with concern.

He glanced at Maria with his phone in his hand, suddenly a little worried about disturbing her sleep.novelbin

He immediately calmed himself down and said, "You people are the ones who keep brushing measide, yet all of you are still restricting my freedom as well."

Maria was shocked. He seemed to be in a bad situation.

She reached out and rested her hand gently on Liam's back. She wanted to comfort him as shecould not bear to see him so tense.

Even though Liam lowered his voice, his entire body was still tense.

"I'll ask for a one-week leave, is that okay?" His tone softened a little.

She did not know what the other party said, but Liam suddenly hung up the phone.

Maria looked at him. "Do they want you to go back?"

"Yeah," Liam replied.

Maria felt her heart tighten and blurted out, "I'll go back with you."
