Chapter 1403

Celeste noticed that Gary had brought her suitcase along and protested immediately, "Why did youbring my suitcase here too?"

"Your roommate gave it to me," Gary replied.

Celeste frowned. Gary must have said something to Ava. Otherwise, why would Ava give him hersuitcase and all of her luggage?

She looked at Gary, her cold gaze scanning his innocent and calm expression.

Despite being glared at, Gary still looked composed as he said, "Are you thinking that I saidsomething to her?"

"Didn't you?"

"I really didn't," Gary shook his head and explained, "I didn't say anything. Your roommate justhanded your suitcase to me. I asked her why too."

"What did Ava say?" Celeste asked immediately.

Gary stared into her eyes and spoke slowly, "She said that she saw me carrying you back to thehotel. When you looked at me, your gaze was filled with love and affection. She firmly believed that Iwas not your brother and that I was your boyfriend

instead."

Celeste was embarrassed and stunned. Her face was as red as beetroot.

Gary continued to say, "So I told her the truth. Since she saw right through me, there was no needfor me to hide it anymore, right?"

"But we are over now," Celeste muttered as complex emotions appeared in her eyes.

She could not believe that Ava actually said that. However, Gary had carried her everywhere, so itwas reasonable that many people saw them.

Where was Ava at that time then?

Her heart felt like it was in a mess. Looking at Gary's innocent and calm face, she couldn't help butfeel even more disturbed.

Celeste did not want to talk to him anymore. She took the laptop, found a corner and sat down. Then, she began to translate the materials Flynt gave to her.

Gary looked at her as she ignored him and started to work on her laptop silently. He did not knowwhat she was up to.

Hence, he opened his laptop too.

Celeste shouted immediately, "Don't turn on your laptop."

Gary was taken aback and shot her a puzzled glance.

Celeste straightened her neck and said with a flush on her face, "I'm translating some materials. Iknow that you can hack into my computer within a minute, so don't use your laptop now."

Gary was stunned for a moment. He did not intend to hack into Celeste's laptop.

"I just want to check my emails," Gary explained, "I've never intended to look at your laptop. Whyare you being so nervous?"

As he spoke, he walked over towards her.

He wanted to show her that he had no intention to peek at her laptop at all.

Celeste paused for a moment and felt bad for a second because she was judging him unfairlyagain. Her face reddened as she was flustered.

Gary sat down beside her, not looking at her laptop at all. He said, "You need some rest. Let mehelp you with your work. I promise I won't leak any secrets."

"I don't need you to," She refused adamantly, "Stay away from me."

Gary raised his eyebrows. His voice was very low, and he sounded quite tired. For the past fewdays, he hadn't rested well. Now that she was finally beside him, he said gently, "Then I'll sleep herefor a while. You can continue with your work, but please promise me not to overwork yourself."

Celeste ignored him, but her eyelashes trembled as she heard his words. She lowered her gazeand thought to herself, "Why was Gary being so gentle and soft?"

She did not blame him for hurting her.

She just wanted to end their relationship.

"Go and sleep on the bed," She noticed that Gary was about to sit down on the sofa, so she askedhim to sleep on the bed.

"Then, you should sit on the bed too," Gary did not want her crouched on a sofa.

"Can you stop being so childish?" Celeste placed the laptop down. She was extremely tired todayand did not want to argue with Gary anymore. Seeing how determined he was, she returned to thebed and leaned back against the headpiece before continuing her translation.

Gary laid down beside her and looked up at her. His pitch-black eyes were filled with complicatedemotions.

Staring at the girl he loved the most, he admired Celeste's beautiful eyes and delicate expression. She looked extra gentle and ladylike when she was quiet. When she was stubborn, she looked likea bull ready to charge, and nobody was able to control her.

Despite all of that, he still found himself deeply attracted to Celeste. There was no reason for him tofeel this way. Because of that, he felt like he was enchanted by her.

He fell asleep slowly while looking at her.

When he woke up, he saw Celeste on the phone. Her voice was gentle and filled with joy, "Yes,Flynt. I've translated everything and sent it to you. I've checked it three times. There are nomistakes."

Gary glanced at his watch. It was already nine o'clock at night.

He looked out of the window. The sky was already dark.

He had slept for a couple of hours.

She did not get any sleep, and she was actually translating materials for the guy called "Flynt".

Gary looked at her when she was talking to him on the phone. She was not facing him, but hersmile was still gentle and bright.

For some reason, he felt irritated.

The fire in his heart burned even more aggressively especially when he thought about the both ofthem chatting happily in the restaurant.

"Okay, Flynt, I'll hand in the rest to you tomorrow. I'll take a rest today, and start translating theothers first thing in the morning," After saying that, Celeste hung up.

The moment she put down the phone, Gary held her in his arms. His forceful embrace caught herby surprise.

The next moment, she was lying on the bed. A familiar scent could be detected with every breathshe took. She could feel that his embrace was wide and strong.

Gary's slightly hoarse and husky voice could be heard next to her ears, "You didn't sleep for a fewhours because you needed to translate something for this guy called Flynt?"

There was a hint of questioning in his tone.

Why would he question her in such a tone?

Celeste's heart tightened into a knot. Feeling a little annoyed by his question, she said, "So what?Do I need your permission to translate something?"

"You can do it without my permission, but my mother will probably be very sad if she finds out thatyou are translating documents for other people," Gary asserted his dominance as if someone hadstolen his partner from him. He knew that his position in Celeste's heart was rather weak, so hedecided to bring up his mother instead.

Sure enough, it worked, and Celeste's fierce and sharp expression instantly changed. She looked abit worried.

Gary figured that his mother probably wasn't aware that Celeste was doing some translations forsomeone else.

In fact, Celeste probably did not tell anyone about it.

If he did not know about it, his mother definitely would not know about it either.

"Since when did you start doing this?" Gary asked again.

Celeste was trapped in his arms, so she had no choice but to answer him sullenly, "I just started.Flynt asked me to do him a favor."

"Okay, then complete this and stop helping him," He demanded.

"Why are you interfering with my job?" Celeste said, "This is an opportunity for me to train myself."

"Because I don't know what that 'Flynt' guy of yours is up to," Gary grunted.

Celeste paused for a moment and said, "Don't forget, things already ended between us."

Gary's entire body stiffened and he knitted his eyebrows tightly together. However, thinking abouthow he had hurt her, he hesitated for a moment and forcefully restrained Celeste. The warmth of hispalm passed through the fabric, seeping into the muscles of her lower back.

Celeste froze as she was controlled by Gary's touch.

She could only protest, "What are you trying to do again?"

Gary felt so jealous and it was driving him crazy.

He couldn't bear to see his woman translate documents for another man. He was blinded by envy.

"You're not allowed to see Flynt anymore," He whispered in her ear with a domineering tone. At thevery least, his tone sounded way better than before.

He was being gentler than ever.

No matter what, this was still an order. An order that made her feel very uncomfortable.

Celeste was still irritated by his attitude.

"Let go of me and don't touch me," She growled in a low voice, trying to refuse his touch.

However, she did not expect him to say, "You've been working for so long, you must be tired. Let megive you a massage."

Celeste was immediately stunned by his words. He got up, flipped her over and secured herposition on the bed. He then proceeded to give her a massage in a tender manner.

Celeste's eyebrows were knitted together. She really did not understand what Gary was up to.

He massaged her body with his large hands and it really did relieve some pain and aches on herstiff muscles. Honestly, it made her feel much better.

She had been leaning on the bed while translating for quite a long time, and she hadn't taken abreak for a few hours.

She did not even go to the washroom.

Although the massage was really relaxing, she still wanted to go to the washroom.

"Let go of me first," Celeste said.

"Don't move," Gary muttered, "Let me give you a massage. Your muscles are so tense, and it'sobvious that you've been sitting here for too long."

"I want to go to the washroom," Celeste retorted.novelbin

Gary paused for a moment. Then, he immediately told Celeste, "I'll carry you there."

He quickly got out of the bed, picked Celeste up in his arms and headed to the bathroom. Hisactions were so overbearing that he did not give Celeste any chance to reject him.

When he slept a while ago, he had taken off his bathrobe. Now, he was only wearing a pair ofboxers. Celeste's entire body froze as he held her in his arms.
