Chapter 1357

When Celeste finished washing up and came out, there was no one in the room.

The whole room was quiet, and the atmosphere was frighteningly dark.

She dried herself up, changed into some new clothes and went downstairs slowly. When shereached downstairs, she didn't see Gary.

She called out to him, but no one answered.

She could only look around.

Still, there was no one.

Later, Celeste found the door behind the dining room open. It led to the garage.

The door of the garage was closed, but the car was not there.

Gary had driven off.

He had left her alone here and had left on his own.

At that moment, the two hundred square feet villa felt so big. It was completely empty and she wasalone.

Thinking about this, Celeste felt even more upset.

Tears welled up in her eyes, but she didn't stop them from falling down in a pitiful manner.

After wiping away her tears with the back of her hand, she went upstairs.

Celeste did not leave. She knew that he would be angrier if she left.

She went back upstairs and buried herself in the quilt. After curling up in bed, she cried for a longtime until she grew tired and fell asleep.

She didn't know how long she had slept.

Hunger woke her up.

However, Gary hadn't come back.

Celeste got up and washed up, only to find that it was dark outside.

She saw nothing but darkness outside. It turned out that she had slept an entire day.

A while later, she found her phone and turned it on.

There were no messages.novelbin

Maria and Ernest didn't look for her. She checked and found out that Gary had sent a message toMaria saying that she wouldn't be going back for a few days.

Under normal circumstances, Maria would reply and make fun of her. This time, she didn't.

Celeste was also a little surprised.

Maybe Maria was afraid of disturbing them.

She kept her phone on and put it in her pocket.

Then, she went downstairs to find something to eat.

Fortunately, there were a few pieces of bread and some ingredients in the refrigerator. She atesome bread, drank some milk, and went upstairs to sleep again.

The only thing she could do was lie down. Although she was exhausted, she could not fall asleep. She could only stare at the ceiling blankly.

Two days later.

After staying in the villa for two days, Celeste found that Gary still wasn't back.

She finally realized how serious the problem was. With that, she took out her phone and calledGary.

However, his phone was turned off.

She couldn't get in touch with Gary.

Such a discovery scared Celeste. She felt scared and panicked. Then, she realized that shecouldn't continue waiting like that.

She picked up her phone and called Maria.

It took a long time for Maria to answer the phone, "Celeste, where are you?"

"I'm outside," Celeste replied.

"I was just about to call you," Maria explained, "Gary's here. Didn't you say you were with himbefore? He's been here for two days. Didn't you know?"

"He's been back for two days?" Celeste was taken aback, "I didn't know. Has he been there all thistime?"

"Yes," Maria sighed, "He looks pretty downcast. We said that we would take him out to play, but hewon't go anywhere."

"Maria, I didn't know he was there for the past two days," Celeste was secretly frustrated at herself,"I should've guessed that he had gone there."

Gary didn't have a place to go in England. He definitely had to go home.

"Sorry, I thought you knew," Maria said quickly, "I didn't know that you were clueless. I should havecalled you to tell you."

"It's alright. I'll go back now," After thinking for a while, Celeste felt that it was better for her to goback and face the situation head-on.

There were some things that could be talked about. As time went by, he would definitely realize thatit was a misunderstanding.

She really had nothing to do with Liam.

Soon after hanging up the phone, Celeste took a shower, packed up and was ready to leave.

After packing up, she saw the necklace and the box on the ground. Then, she squatted down andpicked them up, inspecting them closely.

Fortunately, the necklace was not broken. She put it back in the box and put the box in her bag.

It belonged to Liam, and she was going to return it to him.

She would not take someone else's necklace, regardless of whatever reason they had.

She checked the doors and windows and made sure they were all closed. After the water andelectricity were turned off, she went downstairs and left.

Two hours later, she got back to their home in London.

As soon as she entered, she saw the red sports car parked in the yard. It was very eye-catching.

"Ms. Celeste has returned," The butler greeted her with enthusiasm as soon as he saw her, "Great, everyone is here. You guys can get together now."

Naturally, he didn't know what had happened between Gary and Celeste.

Celeste's lips twitched and a wry smile appeared on her face, "I heard about it. I called Maria justnow. She said that Gary was here, so I came back."

"Then I'll hurry up and prepare dinner."

"Thank you for your hard work," Celeste nodded politely.

"That's my job."

Celeste went upstairs. On the stairs, she met Ernest who was heading downstairs.

"Celeste, you're back?" Ernest raised an eyebrow at her.

Celeste looked up and met Ernest's eyes. She nodded and asked, "Are you going out?"

Ernest's deep gaze was fixed on Celeste's face for a while. Then, he said, "Gary is back. I don'tintend to go out. I just came down to get some fresh air."

"Oh," Celeste nodded. Suddenly, she thought of something and asked Ernest, "Ernest, can you dome a favor?"

Ernest raised his eyebrows and smiled, "Of course, you don't have to be so polite."

"Thank you," Celeste said, taking out the jewellery box from her canvas bag. She handed it toErnest and requested, "I don't know where Liam is now, and I don't want to have anything to do with

him. This belongs to Liam. Could you help me give it back to him?"

Ernest looked at the box in surprise. A glimmer of light flashed in his eyes. He took the box andopened it to have a look.

Soon, he raised his eyebrows. It seemed that he was a little confused, but he didn't ask anythingabout it.

"Okay," He simply replied, "I'll give it back to him."

"Thank you," Celeste thanked him again.

"You're welcome," Ernest answered, "Gary has been here for two days, but you weren't back at all.We didn't disturb you because we were afraid that we would interfere with your interview."

They were not clear about each other's progress academically as they were not studying in thesame school.

Celeste was stunned for a moment, but then she shook her head as if nothing had happened. Onthe contrary, she was much more open-minded than Ernest and laughed, "I knew he came toEngland and I met him already. There was a misunderstanding. I didn't expect him to come backfirst. If I had known, I would have come back earlier."

Ernest was shocked by Celeste's words.

He stared at Celeste for a while and twitched his lips, "Celeste, you've changed."

Yes, she had changed a lot.

In the past, she wouldn't say a word. But now, she had actually taken the initiative to talk aboutGary.

Now, Celeste only smiled and her gaze was bright. She said calmly, "People always change to be abetter person. Which room is Gary in? I want to go up and have a look at him."

Ernest was taken aback once more, "He's in the guest room across mine on the third floor."

Celeste nodded. She then gestured to the top and said, "Then I'll go up now."
