Chapter 1356

Celeste's heart was overwhelmed in sadness and pain.

She wanted to say something, but he treated her in such a way that she couldn't say anything.

She could only accept it. In order to comfort him, she even took the initiative to welcome him. Evenif she didn't like it, she wanted to try her best to comfort him.

Perhaps her behavior was unexpected.

Gary's entire body froze. In just a few seconds, he had lost all sense of reason.

When Celeste opened her eyes, she met his dark and heavy gaze. His thick eyebrows were tightlyfurrowed, leaving behind a deep and gloomy look.

When she looked at Gary, he was also looking at her. However, the two of them were too close toeach other, and they were unable to focus their sights on each other.

Celeste looked at him with pain in her eyes. Her eyes were dull as she wanted to cry.

However, she refused to close her eyes and didn't want to look away. Even though she was in pain, she looked at Gary stubbornly.

Even if she couldn't see him clearly, she could feel his uncontrollable anger and lack ofselfconfidence.

Celeste felt distressed.

Even Gary had moments when he would feel insecure.

Celeste always thought that the feeling of being unconfident was foreign for him. In her life, she hadbeen drifting from place to place, but she was happy.

At the very least, she was not homeless. She even lived a life that was more comfortable than mostpeople.

However, she lacked confidence as well.

After all, she didn't know when she would suddenly lose everything.

That was why she had never felt a sense of security.

Yet, she didn't expect Gary to feel so insecure too.

That was right.

She noticed it early in the morning. She could also sense the same uneasiness lingering in Gary'ssoul.

He usually acted with great confidence by keeping a calm and quiet composure. After lookingcarefully, she found that his pride was only a facade under his fragile soul.

The two of them nibbled on each other's lips like this, neither of them cowering away.

Celeste felt very upset and uncomfortable, but she still faced and endured it.novelbin

She was certain that if she backed down now, she would make him angrier. No matter how muchpain she was in, she would do everything to hold it in.

Their response meant a reconciliation between the two of them.

Gary saw the stubbornness in her eyes and felt the firmness in her actions. Her amber-colored eyeswere in front of him. The emotions in them had completely drowned him.

His heart suddenly thumped loudly. There was a moment when he felt as if he was going tosuffocate.

However, he couldn't stop himself.

After all, Celeste did not allow him to.

They couldn't separate themselves from each other.

Gary was in a bad mood, so he didn't even think of being considerate or controlling himself. He didit with Celeste.

Immediately after that, he did it again.

Celeste's fingernails sank into his back, leaving scratch marks on his skin. He didn't feel any pain atall. Instead, as he smelled the smell of blood, he got more excited.

That night, there were no interactions between them. Their bodies were used to convey Gary'suneasy heart.

Celeste didn't shrink back either. Even though she was full of wounds, she still held on and didn'tretreat. Instead, she faced him and took the initiative to invade his deep and doubtful eyes.

They continued until Celeste could no longer do so. Her eyes were red- rimmed, while her tearswere on the verge of falling out. Her white face was red and she couldn't help sniffling. Then, shegasped in pain.

"Gary, I can't go on any longer. Can you allow me to rest for a while?"

Gary paused in his tracks. He stared at her with his dark eyes and said nothing.

After a long time, he still did not let go of her and continued tormenting

Celeste nearly fainted.

However, she didn't get an answer from him. Instead, she opened her eyes and looked at him withmixed emotions.

It seemed that there were thousands of words lingering in her eyes. There was no resentment, onlypity.

Celeste's gaze caused Gary's body to sway in an instant. He left her, turned around, and went tothe bathroom.

When he came out again, he realized that Celeste was still looking at him. The moment he cameout, he saw Celeste lying on the bed, tilting her head slightly and staring at him.

Even though he was standing openly in front of her, she did not look away at all.

She just stared at him like that.

Gary was frustrated.

He was extremely irritated, but he felt much better.

An entire night later, he finally felt a little relieved and felt much more relaxed. However, when hesaw Celeste's eyes filled with tears, he still felt uncomfortable and annoyed.

He was a little angry at himself, but he was even angrier at her for receiving Liam's gift.

The gift was lying awkwardly on the floor, it's contents spilt over and a bother to see.

Meanwhile, Celeste was still looking at him like that.

It was already early in the morning, and the sun was beginning to shine. She was tired and in pain, but she wanted to know if he felt better.

Gary turned away as he felt irritated at how Celeste was staring at him.

Just then, Celeste was heard asking weakly, "Gary, do you feel better?"

No matter what, she still asked him.

Gary frowned. He met Celeste's gaze reluctantly. From her eyes, Gary could see a hint of alerthidden within her eyes. It was as if she was uncertain about what was going on.

Gary became even more frustrated. From his point of view, this was a form of guilt.

The reason why she acted like this was because she had accepted Liam's gift with a guiltyconscience.

He grunted, "Celeste, why do you feel guilty? Was that how you tried to please Liam as well?"

Celeste closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

Did he actually think that she was doing this because she was flustered?

She was stunned.

Gary looked down at her from above. His gaze was ice-cold as he frowned, "Do you think you'll beable to make up for your sins just by enduring and fawning over me for a night?"

Please him?

He actually really thought so.

She didn't expect Gary to mock her like that, neither did she brace herself for such insults. Instantly, she felt as if she was about to break out in tears.

Celeste's lips were pursed tightly together, and she was stunned for a while. It as if her soul hadbeen taken away, but she didn't want to cry.

"Haha!"

She suddenly laughed, but no matter how one looked at it, it was a lonely smile.

Gary's heart tightened when he saw her like that.

Celeste's smile was desolate, but her tears did not fall. She desperately resisted the urge to crydespite her eyes already reddening.

After taking a deep breath, she got up from the bed and endured the pain. She didn't want to showany weakness in front of him.

Even though she felt as if a knife was digging into her with every step she took, she still gritted herteeth and used all her might to head to the bathroom.

Celeste didn't plan to hide anything.

She walked past Gary, wounded and upset.

Her fair body was covered with scars that he left. Gary held his breath. The wounds pricked hisheart. His mind was buzzing and he felt that the air had grown heavy.

Celeste staggered forward and walked into the bathroom.

Soon, the bathroom door was closed and the sound of running water could be heard.

Gary closed his eyes and clenched his hands tightly by his side. His finger joints were so tightlyclenched that they paled.

His heart was also empty.

He felt an inexplicable sense of loss.

He regretted what he had done to her that very moment.

However, Gary couldn't control himself.

He turned around and went to the dressing room, put on some clothes, and went downstairs.
