Chapter 1342

A smile of appreciation appeared from the corners of Gary's lips. He then raised his chin slightly andsaid, "Have a taste."

Well...

Of course, it was an honor to be able to savor the meal made personally by the eldest son of theJones family.

The dishes on the table included some spaghetti and braised chicken. The dishes looked veryscrumptious.

"It'll taste good."

It was already nice for them to have a meal at this hour.

Celeste was about to grab a chair and sit down.

"Wait," Gary stopped her.

Hence, Celeste could only look up at him.

Gary helped her into her seat. His gentlemanly behaviour surprised her and she thanked him.

"You're welcome."

After Celeste sat down, Gary walked to the other side and grabbed a chair to sit down himself.

"Can I eat first?" Celeste felt really ravenous after seeing the food.

"It's up to you," Gary nodded and reached out for the bottle of red wine. He opened it and pouredsome red wine into two wine glasses.

"I don't drink," Celeste tried to refuse the drink, "I've never touched alcohol."

"Today's a special day," Gary's deep gaze was still on Celeste's face. He was satisfied with herwords but offered, "Drink a little."

"No," Celeste insisted, "Aunt Smith said that girls can't drink alcohol. The price to pay for drinking istoo high. Not everyone is so lucky."

Gary suddenly smiled and sighed when he heard this.

"Celeste, my mom and Heinz got together after drinking, and that's how Ernest and I were born.Later, we were abducted away by a vicious woman, who left Ernest to the traffickers and went backto Heinz after that. I followed my mom and only found out the existence of my brother five yearslater. Only then did my mom realize that Heinz was the man who made her pregnant at that time."

"What?" Celeste was astonished. This story was too complicated, and it was also veryinconceivable.

"Are you shocked?"

"Yes," Celeste nodded honestly and finally understood why Grace asked her not to drink wine. Itturned out that she had such a -past.

Fortunately, they had been together. If Aunt Smith had not been with Uncle Jones, it would havebeen a tragedy, wouldn't it?

She suddenly exclaimed, "So Aunt Smith is afraid that I would be deceived by bad people. I havenever drunk before. Now it seems that it was right not to drink."

"You're quite obedient," Gary felt gratified when he saw how happy she was, "But today, with me byyour side, I'll allow you to have a taste of it."

"Then what if I get addicted?" Celeste was in a dilemma, "I think it's best if I don't try it, even if it'sjust a little bit."

She was in a predicament just staring at the wine.

Gary focused his gaze on her face, but he did not say anything.

When Celeste looked into his eyes, she struggled even more.

"I appreciate Aunt Smith's kindness," Celeste told him seriously. "So, don't make me feel like Ibetrayed her, okay?" "So do you mean I'm a liar?" Gary lowered his gaze. He tried to coax her uponnoticing her reluctance, "What I mean is that you can actually drink a little wine. You don't need tobe so nervous."

"I'm not nervous," Celeste immediately shook her head, sweat dotting the inside of her palm.

She was subconsciously nervous.

With just one look at her, Gary could immediately see through her cover.

Both of them had taken a shower. They both used the same kind of shower gel, and the fragranceon their bodies was the same.

At that moment, the air was filled with each other's scent. They were so close to each other.

Celeste felt her heart beat wildly and felt it was out of control.

She was a little afraid of this feeling. Her heart was beating wildly and she found it difficult tobreathe.

Celeste sat there awkwardly, not knowing how she should place her hands. She pursed her lipstightly and lowered her head, not daring to look at Gary.

"Do you still need to think about it for a long time?" Gary asked again. He sized up Celeste, makingher feel as if she was sitting on pins and needles.

Celeste looked up in a hurry without saying a word. She was looking for something to distractherself.

She picked up the bread and tore off a small piece before popping it into her mouth. After giving itsome thought, she blushed and gave in, "Well, it's just a little bit. Don't add more after I have myshare."

"Of course," Gary smiled and handed Celeste the wine glass. He seemed happy with her decision.

Celeste continued to nibble at her bread.

Meanwhile, Gary grabbed some food and filled the bowl in front of her.

Celeste took a bite and was instantly satisfied, "It's really delicious. I didn't expect you to know howto cook."

The proud Mr. Gary actually knew how to cook. It was especially amazing since he had looks thatwould swoon the public.

Celeste thought that she would never see such a man cooking in her life. She didn't expect that thiswould be the reality, in contrast to her expectations.

It was true to not judge someone by their cover. After all, creating assumptions without knowing thatperson properly would only be unfair to that person.

"Lowell said that if I wanted to win the heart of a girl, I should satiate the girl's appetite," Gary saidseriously, "And vice versa."

Celeste was surprised, "But I can't cook."

Did it mean that she couldn't win over a guy's heart?

A joyful smile appeared on Gary's face as he explained thoughtfully, "It doesn't matter if you can'tcook. In fact, you can also feed me in another way and grab hold of my heart."

Celeste's eyes widened and she was left tongue-tied when she heard what Gary implied. The sightof her red lips gaping slightly made Gary narrow his eyes.

Her expression was showing that she was surprised by what he said. She was amiable, beautifuland insanely innocent.

In fact, Celeste looked like a delicate doll. Her steady and clear gaze left people intoxicated, reluctant to withdraw their attention from it.

To Gary, such a girl was worthy of being kept deep in his heart. His gaze deepened with everypassing moment he looked at her.

Celeste had just taken a shower, and she had delicate facial features, fair skin, and long hair thatstraggled behind her shoulders. She was pure and attractive.

He had to admit that Celeste had really grown up.

Even if she wasn't experienced in the love affairs between men and women, she wasn't dumb.Celeste was knowledgeable, so she naturally understood the hidden meaning in Gary's words.

How could he do this? He was definitely trying to flirt with her.

It had to be.

Celeste's panic was written all over her face.

Meanwhile, Gary's gaze only grew even more mischievous.

Throughout the entire meal, Celeste felt that her face was hot and her head was spinning. Shealmost wanted to escape.

Gary didn't say anything, nor did he urge her to drink.

It wasn't until she had said that she was full that Gary finally said, "Come on, we haven't finished ourwine."

"You still want to drink?" Celeste was astonished.

"Do you really think our meal is over?" Gary smirked with an unfathomable look brewing in his eyes,"I didn't let you drink just now because I wanted you to eat something. It's not good for yourstomach if you drink without having some food first." "You're so thoughtful, aren't you?" Celeste wasstill a little surprised. Her heart was warm and fuzzy.novelbin

"What did you think I was going to ask you to do?" Gary raised an eyebrow at her, a fatal attractionemerging from deep within his gaze.
