Chapter 1341

Back in the small villa in Oxford.

Celeste went into the bathroom to take a shower. It'd been an hour since she went in but she hadn'tcome out yet.

Gary was already bored. He'd started grabbing the ingredients that Alex bought and startedcooking. He made two dishes, baked some bread and finally, paired it off with a bottle of red wine.Gary was quite satisfied just looking at the cuisine that he had just made.

After putting everything on the table, Gary looked up several times, but there was no trace ofCeleste.

He brought the suitcase upstairs and organized his things. Then, he placed a box in the drawer ofthe bedside cabinet.

When he closed the drawer, he paused for a moment before opening it again. He took out the box, unwrapped it and opened it. Then, he grabbed a small packet from the box and placed it under hispillow.

Gary placed the rest back into the drawer and closed it.

It had been more than an hour.

Gary had already changed into a new set of clothes and cooked up a delicious meal, but the girl stilldidn't come out. He started to lose his patience.

Hence, he walked to the bathroom and knocked on the door.

"Knock knock."

Celeste's voice was trembling as she asked, "Who's there?"

"Haha!"

Gary couldn't help laughing again.

"Who else could it be other than me?"

Celeste was embarrassed.

"You've asked me the same question twice," Gary asked calmly, "Why are you feeling so insecure?"

"I understand," Celeste answered softly.

"Have you finished showering? If not, I'm pretty sure you're about to shrivel up."

"Not yet." Celeste replied.

Liar.

Gary's eyes flickered and he smiled.

"Since you are not done yet, I'll come in and help you."

"Wait! Don't."

Celeste sounded anxious.

"I'm done showering. I really am."

Gary smirked again.

"Open the door then."

With that, the door was opened.

Celeste peeked out carefully. She was blushing, and her hair was half- dry. She had finishedshowering a long time ago although she denied it. She just locked herself in the bathroom since shedid not dare to come out.

Gary remained calm as he watched her dawdle. He wasn't in a hurry.

"Gary," Celeste called out softly.

"Come out."

Celeste paused again. She took a deep breath and walked out of the room.

She had already changed into a new set of clothes.

She was wearing the simplest trousers and shirt that could cover herself up the most. Her hair wasdraped over her shoulders, and it was half-dry. She was also wearing slippers. Her feet were smalland pale, shining with a healthy luster.

Her natural charms were on full display. Gary's heart skipped a beat when he looked at her.

"Are you hungry?" He asked softly.

"Yeah," Celeste nodded subconsciously. Her stomach had been growling for some time. Sheanswered honestly, "I'm a little hungry."

"You must be very hungry, aren't you?" Gary said as he extended his hand.

His large palm was right in front of her. Celeste stared at his long fingers and clear palm lines in adaze.

"What?"

"What do you think I'm going to do?" Gary noticed that Celeste's reaction was a little slow.

He reached out his hand, indicating for her to put her hand in his. He wanted to hold her hands togo downstairs.

However, Celeste didn't even seem like she had caught on.

Gary really wanted to roll his eyes.

"I don't know," Celeste shook her head.

"Give me your hand."

Gary finally couldn't hold it in any longer. He reached out and tapped her on the forehead, laughing,"How could you be so slow?"

Celeste blushed and said, "I don't need you to lead me. I can walk on my own."

"So it seems that you have caught on. Since you knew that I wanted to hold your hand, why didn'tyou pretend to play along?"

Celeste did not speak, but her face turned redder.

Gary sighed once again. However, he still forcefully grabbed Celeste's hand and interlocked hisfingers with hers.

Celeste's hand was so adorably tiny that it could fit entirely in his palm. He couldn't help but feelamazed. How could someone's hand be so tender?

It was different from the hand of a man.

Celeste was very embarrassed. Without looking at him, she asked, "Let's go out to eat. I'm hungry."

"Go out to eat?" Gary shrugged, "If we needed to go out to eat, why did we take a shower?"

Celeste was shocked and gasped, "Are you trying to rob me of my rights to food?"

"I asked you to take a shower first. I never did say that I wasn't going to let you eat. Since I justcame down from the plane, I'm dirty, so of course I need to take a bath. Furthermore, you've alsobeen out all day long. A shower is necessary! But of course, I never did say that I would let you gohungry." "Then is there anything here for me to eat here?" Celeste was doubtful.

The two of them had already gone down the stairs. Gary turned to look at her and said, "Of course,If not, why do you think I'm urging you to go downstairs?"

"I thought that..." Celeste did not finish her sentence.

She was truly embarrassed since she had thought of him wrongly.

Gary suddenly stopped and turned around. He wasn't in a hurry to go downstairs.

He stood on a flight of steps that were shorter than her and looked at her with a charming smile.

Even if there was only one step between them, Celeste found that she was not as tall as him.

Gary was really very tall.

"What were you thinking about?" Gary asked with a smile, his pearly white teeth shining under thelights. Celeste's eyes hurt just looking at him.

"I was not thinking about anything. I'm just hungry," Celeste argued stubbornly, "Hurry up and godownstairs. I'm really hungry."

"I thought you were in a hurry to sleep with me," Gary snickered and said in a low, hoarse voice, "Ithought you just couldn't wait."

From his perspective, Celeste's face turned red little by little as he shot her a dangerous andmalicious smirk. Her entire face looked like a tomato.

"I didn't," She gasped and refuted. She was fumbling over her words.

"You did! You look pretty guilty."

Gary made fun of Celeste on purpose. He wanted her to admit it first.

Celeste averted her gaze immediately and didn't dare to look directly into his eyes. She said, "Ididn't. You're just assuming."

"You refuse to admit it?"

"I didn't think about it in the first place."

"If you don't admit it, I won't bring you downstairs."

"You're not worried that I'm hungry at all, are you? Even if I really do admit it, what's the purpose? You're not even concerned about my hungry stomach! You just keep on teasing me. I'm warningyou, if you continue, I'll ignore you for the whole day!"

Celeste knew how to act spoiled.

Gary felt that it was a win for him. He smiled, "Alright, if I don't let you eat, you'll probably get angry.Let's go."

He took her hand again and went downstairs.

Celeste secretly looked at him from behind. His long and slender neck was revealed under hisneatly trimmed hair. In fact, he looked very stylish.

Celeste lowered her gaze, and a myriad of thoughts crossed her mind. Her pretty face was burning.

When she got downstairs, she was surprised to notice two dishes on the dining table, together withthe wine and bread.

"Did you order some takeaway?"

"How is that possible?" Gary looked at her with an unfathomable smile.novelbin

Celeste was slightly surprised. She frowned as something crossed her mind. Then, she gasped asshe was taken aback, "Did you make this?"

"You're smart."
