Chapter 1219

Upon hearing this, Benjamin's face suddenly turned pale. He didn't know much about the Lowefamily, but he was aware that the former president of the Lowe family was sentenced to jail. However, he did not know the reason behind it.

There were many rumors about Zachary's personality as a cruel and merciless man. On thesurface, he looked like a gentleman, but deep down he was a brutal man. He was the personresponsible for the prison time of his uncle and his aunt. Now, even Donald Lowe was terrified ofZachary.

But all the other relatives of the Lowe family seemed to be standing on Zachary's side. Thus, thismade the Lowe family seem very harmonious.

At least on the surface.

When Benjamin heard Zachary mention his aunt and uncle, he suddenly broke out in a cold sweatunconsciously. A chill ran down his spine.

He didn't look well as his face was gradually turning pale, but he didn't want to show his fear.

With that being said, Benjamin smacked his lips and forced a wry smile. Due to the immensepressure, he still chose to take a step back and soften his tone, "Who would have thought that myson-in-law would actually harm his own relatives. But I'm your father-in-law after all. You will beashamed if I were to live a shabby life."

"He won't," Yvonne interrupted Benjamin coldly, "What does Zachary have to do with you? No onein the world knows who you are, so do you think people would give a d*mn?"

"Yvonne, I'm your father, you won't be able to change this fact for the rest of your life," Benjaminwas still a bit proud of this. "We are related by blood. Even if you hate me, you have to understand

that it's not easy for me to raise you."

"You didn't raise me, it was Grandpa and Grandma who raised me," Yvonne retorted.

"That's true, but they are my parents! You used up their money and resources which was rightfullymine since I am the heir and their children. You said that I didn't raise you, but when did I not? All ofthe money you used is mine."

He was truly brazen.

Yvonne clenched her teeth. Her eyes were red, and she was trembling in rage.

"You've already gotten all you want from me. Now, you are at fault for not helping your fatherthrough hard times. You have no conscience. A conscientious child won't bear to treat her own dadthis way," Benjamin was still hoping to get some benefit out of Yvonne.

"Get out," Yvonne pointed at the door and ordered, "Get out of here."

Benjamin looked at Zachary and said, "Mr. Lowe, so I've learned how the Lowe family treats guests.Since you have gotten engaged with my daughter, you have to hold a wedding right? If the Attwoodfamily is not there, wouldn't it be inappropriate?"

Another threat again.

Yvonne closed her eyes, her tightly clenched fists covered in sweat. She was used to being treatedlike this a long time ago.

She only felt extremely guilty now because Zachary was being treated as such as well.

"Yvonne, you still need a father to hold your hand and walk you down the aisle," Benjamin smiledmaliciously, "So, you'd better endure it. I am your father."

Yvonne frowned, and with a cold snort, she said, "You are not required to attend the wedding. Thewedding can go on regardless of you being there or not. Worst comes to worst, I might as well nothold a wedding at all so you won't have such an opportunity."

Benjamin gritted his teeth, "You're really ruthless. Since you're already so cruel to your dad, I'm surethat you'll be as cruel to others around you, right? You are such a heartless person."

"Mr. Attwood, you can shut up now," Zachary could no longer stand him saying such outrageousthings to Yvonne, "I don't need you to tell her what to do."

Benjamin glared at Zachary and took a deep breath without saying anything.

The corners of Yvonne's mouth curled up, but she still tried her best to suppress that mockery.

She was the daughter of such a person, but she was more ashamed of herself.

"Escort Mr. Attwood out!" Zachary ordered coldly without a shred of politeness towards Benjamin.

The butler immediately came in and said to Benjamin, "Mr. Attwood, this way please."

Benjamin glared at Yvonne and finally left.

After the commotion died down, Yvonne bit down on her lips, feeling extremely embarrassed.

She was utterly ashamed to have such an embarrassing father and an embarrassing family.

"Zachary," She said in a hoarse voice, "I'm sorry. I didn't expect him to come." "Don't say that!"Zachary shook his head and stopped her from continuing. He clenched her hands and whisperedassuringly to her, "It's not your fault. It's normal for him to come. If only he was someone withprinciples, he wouldn't be here."

Yvonne shook her head and smiled bitterly. "How could he have principles? He's never hadanything close to a conscience, so he will definitely come again."

Based on her understanding of her father, Benjamin would definitely come and look for them sooneror later.

"He won't give up until he gets what he wants," Yvonne muttered as she recalled her cruel past,"When my Grandad was still alive, he had quite a high paying salary. He supported me financiallyand was the one paying for my studies. Back then, he came to beg for money from my Grandad. When he couldn't get what he wanted, he would always linger around the house. Initially, he wouldsweet-talk us. Later when he found it didn't work, he tried to threaten us and ask for money."

Zachary was taken aback. He didn't expect Yvonne's past to be so difficult.novelbin

"My grandfather was very strict with him. He didn't like his son and he was reluctant to give himmoney, but the same was not said for my Grandma. My Grandma just dotes on him. My Grandmahad been giving him money all this time, so she has been supporting him and his family financiallyall these years."

Thinking of her father and her family, Yvonne smiled bitterly again.

"Yvonne, don't think about those things anymore. It's all in the past," Zachary could not bear to letYvonne recall her painful past.

"Zachary, this isn't something that I can stop thinking about. The both of us clearly know that he willcome looking for us again."

"Yvonne," Zachary grasped Yvonne's hand tightly and tried to comfort her, "Truthfully, I don't think Ican tolerate him either. I can't bear to think about how badly they've treated you over the years. I'mso mad that I want to let them have a taste of their own medicine."

"Zachary, in fact, there is no need for that," Yvonne shook her head and said in a calm tone, "What Ihave gone through over the years is not that bad. My grandfather had looked after me all theseyears. After my grandfather passed away, I met Fabian and also Mr. Trevino. They have been ofgreat help to me."

Fabian again.

When Zachary heard Fabian's name, he couldn't help but frown.

"Mr. Trevino has helped me a lot financially,"

Yvonne continued, "He's a good man."

Zachary was still slightly frowning.

Yvonne took a deep breath and continued, "Now, I finally managed to meet you again. In myopinion, life has been kind to me. I finally got what I wanted"

Zachary's slightly furrowed brows relaxed a little, but there was still a hint of enviousness in his toneas he asked, "Fabian helped you and he doesn't want anything in return?"
