Chapter 704
When Yvonne saw that scene, she finally realized that it was easy to know whether or not Zach loved
someone; it depended on the extent of tolerance he showed to them.
Even though Yvonne and Zach had already registered their marriage, she always felt anxious about
losing him.
Growing up, she always got everything... She was unwilling to allow anyone to take what belonged to
her.
"Madelyn, what's wrong? Why are you so angry? What happened? Tell me," Yvonne said as she
walked toward Madelyn. Only then was Madelyn able to break free from Zach's grip.
When Madelyn left the apartment, she did not have time to change her clothes. She was wearing a
nightgown with a scarf wrapped around her. It was past fall, and the weather outside was still a little
cold.
Madelyn and Yvonne appeared harmonious. They did not go against each other, nor did they treat
each other as enemies. However, Madelyn was well aware that all of this was just superficial.
Zach's skin was thick, but his face still had faint finger marks. This showed that Madelyn's slap was not
light.
Madelyn kept her head down and said without looking at Yvonne, "This is your family matter. You
should deal with it yourselves."
Zach said, "Stop!"
But Madelyn did not stop walking.
"Hubby!" Yvonne shouted at Zach as she watched him chase after Madelyn. Her jealousy was
simmering and could escalate into a much more intense emotion if provoked.
After Yvonne went back to investigate it, she discovered that Zach found an abandoned baby at an
orphanage and wanted to adopt the child for Madelyn.
Yvonne had long known that Madelyn could not bear children.
Yvonne thought, 'Indeed, Zach's current status was very different from last time. He'll need an heir to
inherit Jardin Corporation in the future. And I'm his lawful wife; only our child will have the rightful claim.
'That child is nothing more than a toy Zach picked up to make Madelyn occupied and happy.'
The entire Young family was busy preparing for the wedding the day after tomorrow.
At the Young residence, Yvonne was venting her frustrations in her room. She was throwing around
many items, leaving them scattered on the ground.
The servants were afraid and dared not approach her.
Frida walked over and said, "You lost your composure that quickly? What've I taught you? You still can'tnovelbin
fall out with Madelyn yet. Zach has already completely secured control of Jardin Corporation. He can
easily deal with our family if he wants to."
Yvonne felt wronged as she sat on the bed. She turned to look out the window, "I don't have the luxury
of falling out with her. I'm just frustrated. Zach and I have already registered our marriage, but he's still
living in Floral Loft with Madelyn. What's he treating me as?
"Today at the hospital, he just ignored me and chased after Madelyn when she left. He even found a
child for her."
Frida's eyes darkened. She waved her hands to signal the servants, who were cleaning, to leave. She
then sat beside Yvonne to comfort her, "Your marriage was arranged as part of a deal. Listen to me;
just secure your position as Mrs. Jardin, and don't put all your attention on a man."
Yvonne felt more and more aggrieved as she thought about it. She burst into tears, "Mom... you've
never loved someone. So, you don't understand!
"I love Zach! I want to love him wholeheartedly, even if it's just for him to glance at me once. I know he
doesn't like me, but I just can't stop loving him.
"I can't control this feeling."
Frida thought, 'I've never loved someone? How could I not? It's just that the person I loved back then
had never given me anything other than disappointment. Even after Sylvia died, he decided to die with
her.'
Frida felt suffocated and experienced pain in her chest. She quietly suppressed this emotion.
She responded, "Madelyn won't stay in Ventropolis for much longer. No one will compete with you for
Zach when she follows your brother overseas for treatment. For now, don't think about anything else
other than going through with the wedding. At your wedding, you must be a beautiful bride." Frida
wiped away the tears on Yvonne's face.
"Okay. I got it, mom."
