Chapter 223 The Boss Who Deserved a Beating
“That’s right, Xueqing, tell us quickly! What happened?” someone asked curiously.
Jiang Xueqing nodded her head and told them the story in detail.
Chen Hao finally understood.
It turned out that her superior, who was the deputy manager of one of the departments, had been
harassing her quite often ever since she set foot in the company.
He seemed quite modest in the beginning as he only wanted to ask her out for a meal.
After rejecting him several times, Jiang Xueqing felt that it wasn’t appropriate to keep rejecting him like
that, so she went out with him once.
However, since then, that perverted man’s attitude became increasingly worse.
He often called Jiang Xueqing into his office. In the beginning, he would verbally harass her. But now, it
had already progressed to sexual harassment.
About two days before the celebration, he called for Jiang Xueqing again. This time around, he touched
her thighs straightaway.
Jiang Xueqing panicked and splashed a glass of water at him.
Because of that, he threatened to fire her from the company. She was given a choice to either obey him
or leave the company.

the capability to deal with this man.

Xueqing?!” said some of the guys angrily.
“That’s right. However, as girls, we really need to know how to protect ourselves. In this society, we
tend to become the object of bullying. Back then, when I started working in the hospital, some people
did not know my relationship status, and hence they requested some ‘things’ from me. It was only after
they knew my boyfriend’s identity that they stopped harassing me,” said Li Mingxue.
“What Mingxue said is true. Xueqing, to be honest, Li Shihan and you are the prettiest girls in our class.
Just take a look at Shihan now. She had found herself a capable boyfriend, so it’s about time that you
find a guy that loves you too. Ahem. There is already a ‘ready-made’ guy just beside you, so you must
cherish him,” said Wang Rui.
Jiang Xueqing blushed as she lowered her head.
“Xueqing, don’t you worry. I will settle this for you after today’s gathering. I don’t believe that he has the
guts to defy me since he is only a deputy manager,” said Li Wenyang domineeringly.

worriedly.

He is quite close with Liu Li.”
Li Chao looked at Chen Hao and smirked at this moment.
Everybody laughed as well.
On the other hand, Chen Hao finally managed to find a capable and fun person to hang out with, but
that person had betrayed him.
Jiang Xueqing gave Chen Hao a glance and turned her head to speak with Li Wenyang.
It was obvious.
Back in high school, Jiang Xueqing and Chen Hao were on good terms with each other. Furthermore,
she even got into a heated argument with Li Wenyang because of him. However, it was obvious that
her relationship with Li Wenyang was closer now.
That was because Li Wenyang was considered the most successful person amongst them. He had
more resources compared to other people. Hence, Chen Hao couldn’t even dream of holding a candle
to him.
Chen Hao understood the situation.
After experiencing what society was like, ordinary people would realize that wealth and resources were
way more important than friendships after all.
Even though he felt upset that the girl that he treated as his best friend had a close relationship with his
bully, Chen Hao did not utter a single word.
When he saw that everybody was directing the topic of conversation toward him and even started
mocking him, Chen Hao excused himself and went to the washroom.
After he was done with his business and was washing his hands, Jiang Xueqing happened to walk out
of the girl’s toilet.
Obviously she came here shortly after Chen Hao.
When they met each other, both of them looked embarrassed.
“Chen Hao, I haven’t had the opportunity to chat with you properly. How are you doing now?”
To hide her embarrassment, she gave him a hearty smile.
After all, she knew that anyone who was in Chen Hao’s shoes would feel upset about the fact that she
was close to Li Wenyang, especially if you considered her relationship with Chen Hao in the past, as
well as the conflict between him and Li Wenyang.
“Alright, I guess,” said Chen Hao as he grabbed some tissues and wiped his hands.
“I heard that you haven’t found a job yet, so what are your plans for the future?” asked Jiang Xueqing.
“I am thinking of setting up my own business,” replied Chen Hao honestly.
Jiang Xueqing furrowed her brows while giving him a casual smile at the same time. Then, she shooknovelbin
her head and said, “Chen Hao, I think you should find a job, no matter what kind of job it is. You should
know better that you are different from other people.”
“Or maybe you can try to get into Wenyang’s good books. He has his own company now and they
happened to be short staffed. If you want to work there, I can ask Wenyang to allow you to work in his
company. It will be good since you can get a monthly salary of two thousand,” advised Jiang Xueqing.
“Thank you, but I don’t want to work under him,” said Chen Hao with a smile.
“Sigh. Chen Hao, I know that Wenyang had beaten you up in high school, but that was because he was
too impulsive back then, so it's somewhat understandable. Besides, think about it, if you had listened to
Wenyang back then and let him copy your homework, I don’t think he would have beaten you up,
instead he might give you a boost after your graduation,” said Jiang Xueqing.
“Don’t worry, I’ve never taken that matter to heart. By the way, don’t worry about that issue with the
deputy manager of your department. You can either find your manager straightaway to file a complaint
or you can escalate it to the upper management. They will definitely take this issue seriously.”
The people from the managerial level up to the upper management level were the original talents of Jin
Ling Commercial Group, hence Chen Hao was very well aware of their capabilities and personal traits.
They would definitely not let this happen.
Chen Hao thought about it and told this to Jiang Xueqing.
However, Jiang Xueqing looked at Chen Hao and smiled bitterly. “You won’t understand the situation at
a workplace yet. Sigh! Don’t worry about this matter. But thank you, Chen Hao!”
With that, Jiang Xueqing waved her hands at Chen Hao and left.
Jiang Xueqing felt like a stranger to Chen Hao in that instant, just like back then when he met Li
Shihan.
