The leader of the demon beasts shook its head. “No. If it were mine, I wouldn’t have buried itunderneath these weapons. I don’t know what’s in this beast egg either. Nonetheless, I know it hasbeen absorbing celestial energy all along. To incubate it, I gathered these weapons for the celestialenergy within to assist the process. Regretfully, this beast egg still doesn’t show any signs of hatchingafter thousands of years have passed. But from the look of it, the creature within might be a spiritbeast. If it were ordinary demon beasts like us, it would have hatched long ago with such rich celestialenergy enveloping it.”
“A spirit beast egg?” Jared was surprised. Not only were spirit beasts exceedingly rare, but theircapabilities were multiple times greater than those of ordinary demon beasts.
In the celestial realm, only immortals of sufficient strength were worthy of owning spirit beasts asmounts.
“So, why did you bring me here?” Jared asked.
“You have the aura of the beast race and the power of the Draconians, so I’d like you to hatch this spiritbeast egg. If you succeed in doing so, this spirit beast will be of greater value than all magical items onthe Celestial Battlefield,” the leader of the demon beasts answered.
Jared studied the leader of the demon beasts quietly before he questioned with a slight frown, “Whyare you helping me? Is it because of the Power of Dragons within me?”
“No. I’m not helping you but myself.” The demon beast paused briefly before continuing, “The CelestialBattlefield has opened, and our clan’s life will soon be disrupted. At that time, we are sure to bemassacred and our beast cores will be taken away. I only hope you can seal off the entrance when theCelestial Battlefield closes. All we want is to have a peaceful life. We don’t want to cultivate to attainimmortality, merely wishing to be left alone. Actually, it’s been pretty nice in the thousands of yearswe’ve lived here.”
His voice carried a great deal of helplessness. At present, few had entered the Celestial Battlefield, yetone of their beast eggs had been stolen by Rosetta. If the number of people increased, their entire clanmight be wiped out.
The demon beasts living in the Celestial Battlefield had no way of ascending to immortality as thatplace was created by men.
If they wanted to ascend to immortality, they had to destroy the Celestial Battlefield. Alternatively,another immortal had to come and wreck that place before freeing them.
However, judging from the current situation, it seemed they did not want to leave or ascend toimmortality to live forever.
All they wanted was a peaceful life.
“Okay, I give you my word. “So long as you promise me that, I trust you can do it. You have the Power of Dragons within you. Youare undoubtedly capable of achieving it.”
The leader of the demon beasts had great faith in Jared because he believed in the Power of Dragonswithin the man.
As part of the beast race, he knew of the might of the Power of Dragons.

With that said, the leader of the demon beast spun on his heel and left. It would appear that the demonbeasts did not live there. They had merely led Jared and Rosetta over.
“Is this really a spirit beast egg, Mr. Chance?”
Rosetta did not quite believe it since she had never seen a spirit beast.
“It’s possible. There must have been spirit beasts joining the battle on the Celestial Battlefield. Leavinga spirit beast egg behind is within the realm of possibility.”
After saying that, Jared slowly walked toward the spirit beast egg. Then, he reached out and stroked it.
To his surprise, the spirit beast egg felt warm and was incredibly comfortable to the touch.
