Jared and Rosetta ran behind the demon beasts, and soon, they ran a long distance. The two of themfollowed the demon beasts from the boundless wilderness to the hills.
Scared, Rosetta asked, “Mr. Chance, where are these demon beasts bringing us? I didn’t pick up therock from here.”
“I don’t know, but these demon beasts have lived on the Celestial Battlefield for ages. They surely knowwhere the magical items are. We just need to follow them. I don’t think these demon beasts meanharm. We should be fine.” Jared was just as clueless, but he was determined to keep following thedemon beasts.
After they crossed a hill with the demon beasts, a field filled with shiny items soon appeared in front ofthem.
At a closer look, Jared saw that the field was filled with weapons. However, the weapons weredamaged. Well, it was a fierce battle. When the immortals fought the demonic immortals, their weaponswere bound to get damaged. Nevertheless, it’s weird how big a pile of weapons is gathered here! Itdoesn’t seem like the weapons were dropped here. Instead, it looks as if someone has purposelycollected and piled up all these weapons!
Right then, the leader of the demon beasts said,
“I picked up these weapons.”
Jared was baffled when he heard that. Oh! So this demon beast collected all these weapons. Nowonder after we entered the Celestial Battlefield, all we saw were piles of bones without weapons lyingaround. But why did this demon beast pick up all the damaged weapons? Is this its hobby?
Jared asked curiously, “Why did you collect these weapons?”
“These weapons all have celestial energy left in them. I need the celestial energy…” the leader of thedemon beasts answered.
“Celestial energy?” Jared froze momentarily. I’m not sensing any celestial energy!
Without saying a word, the leader of the demon beasts walked toward the pile of weapons.
Seeing that, Jared followed behind. Soon, the two seemed to have passed through a transparentshield, and Jared even saw ripples in the void as they passed through. The moment Jared passedthrough the shield, a burst of celestial energy greeted him.
Jared was dumbstruck. So these weapons still have celestial energy in them, and there’s a forceblocking the celestial energy! That’s why I didn’t sense anything just now! Now that I’ve passed throughthe shield, I can sense the intense celestial energy everywhere!
“The celestial energy is very intense. Did you collect these weapons to cultivate by using the celestialenergy they hold?” Jared asked the leader of the demon beasts.
The leader of the demon beasts shook its head. “I don’t need the damaged weapons’ celestial energyto cultivate. Mystical herbs are abundant on the Celestial Battlefield, and they’re all exceptionally lush.”
“Then why did you gather these weapons here?” Jared cast the leader of the demon beasts a confusedlook.
The leader of the demon beasts didn’t answer Jared. Instead, it kept walking forward, and Jared andRosetta followed it from behind.
Stepping on the weapons under their feet, they just kept walking forward. When they arrived before abig pile of weapons, the leader of the demon beasts used its thick and robust tail to scatter theweapons aside.
After the weapons were shoved aside, Jared and Rosetta saw a colorful beast egg covered withvarious patterns.
As it turned out, the weapons were used to bury the beast egg. Jared looked at the beast egg andnoticed it looked different from the one Rosetta had picked up earlier.novelbin
