Chapter 42 Revenge
"Go, go, go! Don't be afraid. He is alone. We can beat him to death with a single blow!"
Maddox and his men suffered a setback. So, Maddox was cheering his men up. They then organized
another attack, rounded the car, and surrounded Conrad.
Conrad fought running battles with them in the parking lot. When he attacked one man, he would jump
onto the roof of another car, avoiding to be surrounded by them. Then, he would pick two men who
were left alone and did the same thing again. A few seconds later, two more men were knocked down.
Ashley, who was capturing the scene, was excited. The last time she saw such a scene was in a
martial arts film. Although Conrad had no showy moves, he could stun an enemy with one punch.
Every time he made a move, he could knock down one or two men. In Ashley's opinion, he was a
superman.
"OMG! Conrad is so handsome! Why is my heart beating so fast?" Ashley felt a jolt of rapid heartbeat.
After a few minutes of fierce fighting, Conrad had knocked down Maddox's men. Only Maddox was left
and he backed up in fear.
Yes. Maddox, who had shouted arrogantly before, was backing up in fear now. He was scared of
Conrad, who seemed to be possessed by the god of war. Maddox finally realized that he seemed to
have offended someone he could not afford to offend.
"Buddy, let's have a talk. Let's just forget about it, okay?" Maddox stammered.
"Forget about it? If we could, why did you bring so many people here?" Conrad threw away the stick
that had been cracked. He did not need weapons to deal with a dude like Maddox.
"Conrad, hit him! Hit him hard!"
Ashley shouted loudly to encourage Conrad. She remembered that Maddox insulted her just now. She
was mean and would not forget the hatred easily.
Maddox suddenly became ruthless and grabbed a steel pipe to attack Conrad.
Conrad dodged. Then, the pipe smashed a parked Ford into a big hole.
"It's rude to damage others' property!"
Conrad kicked Maddox and knocked him down. The pipe also flew away.
Maddox tried to get up. Conrad twisted his arm and subdued him.
Conrad waved at Ashley, signaling that she could take revenge on Maddox.
"Hooligan!"
Ashley was also frank. She ran over and stepped on Maddox's crotch with her high heels, which made
Maddox roll his eyes.
Seeing this, Conrad was shocked and felt a chill, thinking that he could not offend Ashley, who was
cruel.
"Now what should we do? He... " Ashley stepped back and made a cutting her throat gesture.
Conrad was speechless. Had Ashley seen too many movies? How could she casually kill others?
Maddox was so scared that he pissed. The smell of urine diffused. He quickly begged for mercy, "Guys,
it is just a misunderstanding. This can be settled through discussion. I would like to do anything to
make amends!"
Conrad wanted to teach Maddox a lesson again. But smelling the sickly smell, he kicked Maddox in the
ass and scolded, "Get out of here now. Your smell almost kills me!"
Maddox scrambled away. Only a few of his men recovered and stumbled after him.
Conrad shouted, "Hey, take your men away to the hospital too!"
Unexpectedly, Maddox ran even faster.
After calling an ambulance for the dizzy men, Conrad got into his Hummer with Ashley.
Ashley had been studying Conrad with her charming eyes since they got into the car, making Conrad
uncomfortable. Conrad asked, "What is wrong?"
"I'm looking at superman. You're such a good fighter and handsome. You should be in a movie." Ashley
said in admiration.
"I have no such intentions now." Conrad said.
"Then when you have such intentions, please tell me. I will be the leader of your fan group!"
Ashley obviously became Conrad's fan and did not hide her admiration for Conrad at all.
Conrad smiled and asked her, "Where would you like to have dinner?"
"Let's go to Come Again Restaurant. The food there is not bad. I'll treat you to this meal." Ashley said
happily.
"OK. Then I'll be glad to accept it. Thank you." Conrad said and drove to the restaurant.
"Wow, Hummer is so great. It's roomy and not bumpy at all." Ashley exclaimed in the car.
Conrad suddenly felt that this girl was too lively...
When they arrived at the restaurant, Ashley chose a small private room so that it was more convenient
for them to chat.
Then they ordered some dishes, eating and talking.
"What's your business?" Ashley put her hands on her cheeks and asked frankly.
"I have a western restaurant now." Conrad said.
"Well, I'm not good at making western food. My ancestors were the imperial chefs of the palace. I have
a lot of recipes at home. My grandfather and father are both state banquet cooks. If they can give
advice to your cooks, you'll have a good business."
Ashley's family background surprised Conrad. He didn't expect this girl was from a family of chefs. He
happened to have plans to do catering. So, he asked, "Can I invite your father to work in my
restaurant?"
"No way," Ashley shook her head, "my father is stubborn. He just likes to be a civil servant. He has
been invited by many big restaurants which offered high salaries before. But he refused."
Conrad was disappointed and suddenly realized that Ashley was also from this family. So, he asked
hopefully, "How is your cooking?"
Conrad was already imagining if his restaurant had such a beautiful chef with good figure, maybe the
diners would visit his restaurant frequently.
"But I only know how to make instant noodles." Ashley was a little embarrassed, "I don't like to be anovelbin
chef. The cooking oil is not good for the skin. So, I didn't learn how to cook."
"What a pity." Conrad sighed.
