"I won't take it. Just sell this to them!" Leon shook his head.
Leon caught on to the unspoken message of the saleswoman’s words and understood that she wanted
him to keep bidding before she eventually sold him the jadeite at its original price.
However, he was merely buying the jadeite for the Energy Convergence Circle and had no preferences
in terms of the craftsmanship. Hence, he did not have to obtain this piece.
Since Bucky and Aurelia insisted on buying it, he saw no point in getting in their ways.
"Well, alright, then." The saleswoman felt resigned that Leon did not want the jadeite any longer.
She could only pack the jadeite and sell it at 9 million to them.
"Hugh, let's just pick out another piece!" Renee grabbed Leon's arm and proceeded to check the other
cabinets to select another piece.
Watching them, Aurelia frowned.
She assumed that Leon and Renee would be offended that the piece they set their eyes on was taken
away.
Renee might just leave with Leon out of frustration and embarrassment.
To her bewilderment, things did not go as planned.
Not only did Leon and Renee not leave, they remained unfazed and proceeded to look for othernovelbin
replacements.
This left her feeling displeased.
"Miss Morrison, forgive me for being blunt, but it's quite odd that someone of your status would choose
to date such a poor man. I feel embarrassed for you!" Aurelia said arrogantly.
She knew that Renee's status and beauty surpassed hers, and she was struggling to find ways to
undermine Renee.
Hence, she could only target Leon in an attempt to mock Renee.
"Yeah, Miss Morrison. A poor lad like him isn't worth you. I advise that you break up with him as soon
as possible to avoid being laughed at!" Bucky agreed along and stared at her heatedly.
Considering his feelings for Renee, he was more than willing to break off the engagement with Aurelia
if Renee was willing to abandon Leon and choose him instead.
If Aurelia knew about what he was thinking, she would have mixed feelings about this.
"Whether Hugh deserves me is none of your business. You have no right to tell me what to do.
Besides, Hugh isn't as horrible as you think he is. He is more formidable than you can imagine!" Renee
scoffed and shot them a dark look.
She knew the extent of Leon's ability.
Though he was just the vice president of Cynthion Group, Hugh was a talented martial artist and likely
reached the Advanced Emperor State at a young age.
Even the son of the Western Boss, Felton, was no match for him.
Felton was known as one of the brightest of their generation and remained unrivaled with the only
exception being Hugo.
If Felton could not defeat Leon, others of the younger generation would not stand a chance.
Hence, Bucky simply could not compare with Leon.
