Chapter 630

After some time, Neera leaned against Jean's chest, panting.

A layer of moisture welled up in her eyes due to the lack of oxygen, and the edges of her eyes remained tingedwith red.

Her appearance, despite the fatigue, exuded a captivating charm, as if she had been through some ordeal.

Upon a single glance, Jean's body tensed up instantly.

He pulled her closer without uttering a word, avoiding eye contact, and asked in a husky voice, "Do you want torest upstairs?"

Neera's gaze remained hazy and felt dizzy.

She nestled into his embrace and began to act playfully. novelbin

"I'm too weak, could you carry me upstairs, please?"

Jean smirked.

This woman was utterly enchanting with her playful gestures.

He was willing to give her his all, so why would he hesitate?

Without a word, he effortlessly lifted her and made his way upstairs.

Later that evening, after tucking Mrs. Beauvort to sleep, he left her side and left to the next room.

As the night grew darker, instead of going back to his room, he turned to Ian and asked, "How is the situationonline now?"

Ian had been instructed to monitor the situation closely and promptly responded, "All the defamatory commentsabout Mrs. Beauvort have been removed. No one is saying anything bad about her anymore."

He paused for a moment before continuing.

Jean glanced at him and urged, "Go on."

"It's like this... Many people are speculating about the relationship between Mrs. Beauvort and the Beauvortfamily, and why the Beauvort family would go to such lengths to support her," Ian explained.

He then continued, "Do you think we should explain this to the public?"

Jean dismissed the idea without hesitation. "No."

Their relationship was private, and he felt no obligation to explain it to the public.

However, there was another issue that concerned him deeply.

"Have you found out who's behind this?" Jean asked, his tone grave.

Ian appeared somewhat uncomfortable as he responded, "I'm sorry, we haven't found it out yet. What we canconfirm is that there is indeed someone behind this scheme. We've identified several media outlets that werebribed in our investigation, but we haven't yet pinpointed the mastermind."

Worried about Jean's disappointment and potential criticism of his handling of the situation, Ian quickly added,"However, Larry shared something that might be related to the slandering campaign against Mrs. Beauvort."

Jean, leaning back on the sofa, asked with a hint of curiosity, "What is it?"

Ian proceeded to recount the information Sasha had accidentally overheard.

"Kyra and her assistant didn't mention Mrs. Beauvort's name during their conversation, so it's not definitivewhether the slander material is related to her. But later, Larry noticed that the assistant had been in contact withpeople from Sunshine Media, one of the media outlets on our prosecution list. However... in subsequentinvestigations, Sunshine Media didn't acknowledge any involvement in this matter."

Jean's expression darkened upon hearing this. "Tell the legal team to pay special attention to Sunshine Mediaduring the upcoming prosecution. About Kyra, have Larry reduce her resources and allocate more to Sasha."

Ian nodded and then provided an update on the Garcia Group.

"Alfonso is set to be released from the detention center as his detention period has expired."

Jean's chiseled face had a cold expression.

"It's the perfect time for him to be released, let him witness the downfall of the Garcia Group with his own eyes!"

Ian responded with an affirmative "yes," feeling a glimmer of satisfaction in his heart.

The Garcia Group had been causing trouble for so long, repeatedly provoking Mrs. Beauvort. Ian couldn't wait to

see the Garcia Group face the consequences!

...

That night, upon receiving Ian's orders, Larry immediately called Sasha.

"Sasha, your decision to stand up for Ms. Garcia was a brilliant move! It's a significant step."

Sasha removed her mask, patted some essence onto her face, and asked curiously, "What's going on? Whathappened?"

"It's good news, great news!" Larry conveyed the orders from Jean and sighed with contentment. "I neverexpected that our usually reserved CEO would place Ms. Garcia at the top of his priorities and protect her likethis."

While Sasha was happy, she didn't become overly excited.

"Mr. McDonagh, to be honest, what I said in front of the media wasn't for show, nor did I calculate the pros andcons. It came from my heart. I've been thinking about it for a long time, and even if there were no reportersaround, I would have expressed my support on my platform. It's not for personal gain; it's because I have agenuine admiration for Ms. Garcia. She's a rare pure soul amidst all this chaos, and I genuinely want to be herfriend."

Larry agreed after hearing her words.

"You're right. Ms. Garcia is indeed an extraordinary person, and one can't help but admire her. But regardless, don't shy away from the recognition and rewards you deserve, embrace them when the time comes. You've

spoken up for her, and it's what you deserve. Your position in the company and even in the industry won't beeasily shaken in the future!"

Sasha chuckled, "You're right. It doesn't matter who I am, I have a keen eye for people and a sharp wit. I alwayshad a feeling that Kyra wasn't a good person, and it seems I was right all along!"
