Chapter 200 Red Roses

Chapter 200 Red Roses

"Julia?!" Ranita thought as she clicked on the message. She knew Julia for quite some time, butthey weren't that close. The picture was of an incredibly vibrant bouquet of red roses.

Did Julia send this by mistake? Just as Ranita was about to reply, another message came in with ading sound.

Ranita's breath caught in her throat.

"Mr. Stuart, the roses are ready."

Brendon'd prepared roses? Ranita's fingers froze and she felt bitter inside; these roses wereprobably not meant for her.

"Ding!" The message was retracted, followed by a call from Julia, "Miss Bowman, I'm sorry I sentyou the wrong text!"

"These are the roses Mr. Stuart asked me to order for Miss Murphy," there was a pause before shecontinued speaking again, "Miss Bowman, I'm really sorry! Please pretend you didn't see it anddon't tell Miss Murphy either. Mr. Stuart wants to surprise her."

Ranita replied with just one word, "Okay."

"Thank you so much Miss Bowman!" Julia said politely before letting out what seemed like a sigh ofrelief, "If Mr. Stuart finds out that I've been acting all flustered while doing my job, he'll be angry!"

"Is there anything else?" Ranita's tone was indifferent, leaving Julia at a loss for words. Juliaawkwardly chuckled, "Well, nothing else. I'll hang up now."

The entire afternoon passed.

Ranita still hadn't received any news from Brendon. After taking a nap, she woke up to theapproaching dusk. Instead of calling Brendon, she decided to go for a walk.

"Ding!" The elevator door opened, and Ranita looked a little surprised at the couple inside.

Shannon was wearing a little black dress, a fisherman's hat, and sunglasses. In her arms was abeautiful bouquet of red roses.

Even more stunning than in the pictures.

Vivid and passionate, just like all of Brendon's feelings for Shannon.

"Ranita?" Shannon's voice was hoarse, filled with the aftermath of crying. After speaking, sheleaned against Brendon, displaying intimacy in her movements.

In an instant, Ranita's heart turned to ice.

"Excuse me, please, I need to get into the elevator." The elevator door was blocked, and Ranitatried to go around, but Brendon grabbed her finger. "Where are you going?"

"Just for a walk," Ranita smiled at him. "Miss Murphy must be tired. Why don't you take her to restfirst?"

Ranita pushed away his hand and calmly entered the elevator.

As the doors closed, she leaned against the elevator wall, her spine softening, feeling completelydrained.

Later on, Ranita went for a walk on the beach behind the hotel. She sat on a bench and let the windblow through her hair while her heart ached. Memories of their sweet day together kept replaying in

her mind. It was as if this was the only way to escape.

Suddenly, someone sat down next to her. It was Shannon with a pale face and sad eyes looking atRanita with regret written all over it.novelbin

"I'm sorry," Shannon said softly. "I couldn't take it anymore in Kurima so I flew here to ask Brendonfor help. Can you forgive me?"

Ranita had enough of Shannon's insincere attitude.

"Shannon, stop saying these things! People say that admitting your mistakes is half the battle wonbut what about changing? You keep apologizing and saying sorry but have you actually changed?Who are you playing games with?"

Ranita's words were drowned out by the sound of sea breeze blowing past them as she looked atShannon coldly and distantly.

Shannon took off her sunglasses revealing red swollen eyes that looked pitiful but all of this pity wasbuilt upon Ranita's pain! Ranita felt nothing but hatred towards Shannon!

"I didn't mean to hurt you," pleaded Shannon after pausing for a moment before asking, "Have youever loved someone wholeheartedly before?"
