It wasn’t until she woke up this morning that she realized she had left the phone on all night.
Callum didn’t hang up the phone the entire night!
When she made a sound cautiously, he immediately responded and said good morning.

It was his failure to protect her adequately that had led to these events. He knew he would neverforgive himself for the rest of his life if she had truly come to harm.

After a while, Lillian finally stopped crying.

Her voice quivered and faltered as she spoke, overcome by emotion.
He responded, “I understand. I share the same fear of not seeing you. Thankfully, you’re safe andsound.”
She gazed at him in a daze, observing the man’s face etched with concern for her. Dark circlesbeneath his eyes hinted at a sleepless night. He had mentioned his unresolved issues with the Whitefamily, yet he still returned for her.
Lillian held Callum’s face with both hands and said, “Let’s get married. I will marry you as soon as yousettle the White family matters!”
Although they had discussed marriage in the past, it was the first time she felt such an ardent desire tomarry him and be with him, spurred by the life-and-death situation she had recently faced.
She yearned to cherish every possible moment with him, recognizing the preciousness of each passingsecond.
Maybe it was because of her experience that she cherished him even more now.
Even if they were just standing together, locked in each other’s embrace, she regarded it as a profoundblessing.
Callum stared at the person in front of him, bent down, and gently put his forehead on hers. “Okay, thenwe will get married. Iwant to give you a grand and magnificent wedding and let you be my wife!”
She smiled sweetly with tears in her eyes. In fact, she didn’t care about how grand and magnificent thewedding would be. She only cared about whether their relationship could last forever!

In the living room of the Quinn residence, Lillian was sitting in the living room with Callum before hertears could completely dry up. They were facing her parents’ interrogation.
“Are you guys getting married now?” Stephen asked as he looked at his daughter and future son-in-law.
