When she and Melanie had been in the car accident, she had been shaking all over. She could stillremember the horror.

“What if I didn’t save you?” he asked back. Before Rosalie could answer, he laughed at himself andsaid, “I’ve asked a stupid question. But I’m still glad I’ve saved you!”
There was a serious look in his dark eyes.
Even though he was severely injured and almost died, he was still very happy.

“Still, it was my decision to save you. You shouldn’t let it affect you emotionally,” Calvin said as if hecould see through everything.
When Rosalie heard the words, she was moved.
After more than an hour, Lillian arrived at the hospital to visit Calvin. She took the opportunity to informthem of the results of the police inspection of the car. Someone had indeed tampered with it.

Lillian sighed and hugged her back. “You must live well so that I will be happy.”
“I definitely will,” Rosalie assured her.
Then they went their separate ways at the hospital gate. One took the bus, while the other took thesubway back.
Inside the subway train, Lillian looked at her reflection in the window. The feeling that she had escapedfrom the jaws of death still resonated within her.
That time, Lillian finally understood how Rosalie felt when the latter encountered her previous caraccident.
Back then, the two cars went up in flames right after Rosalie got out. If she had been a moment toolate, she would have been burned to death inside.

She cried a lot on the phone and told him everything between her sobs. She could remembereverything. Finally, she cried, and fell asleep on the phone.
