Chapter 481

Chapter 481

Fiona frequently accompanied Calvin to events, behaving in a way that resembled that of a girlfriend. Itcame as no surprise that despite Calvin never officially announcing their relationship as boyfriend andgirlfriend, many online users assumed Fiona was already his girlfriend.

After all, during that period, Calvin was often seen picking up Fiona, providing resources for herparticipation in film and television projects, and attending various events with her. All of those actionsgave the impression of a romantic involvement.

Rosalie was well-informed about all that, courtesy of the widespread use of the internet.

Any scandals involving Calvin consistently became trending topics online, making it sometimesimpossible for Rosalie to feign ignorance.

There were also numerous criticisms of Fiona online, commenting on her average appearance, ordinary family background, limited education, and previous divorce. She was arguably the leastqualified compared to all of Calvin’s previous girlfriends.

Some individuals even went to the extent of saying that Calvin must have been blinded to choose sucha woman to be by his side.

Regarding the Gunner family’s stance on Fiona, it had never been publicly disclosed.

However, at a later point, Fiona’s manager issued a public statement online, announcing their intent tosue those who defamed Fiona and hold them legally responsible.

The manager was widely known to be a top-tier manager chosen by Calvin for Fiona.

Otherwise, someone like Fiona wouldn’t have caught the eye of such a manager.

As a result, many people speculated that the manager’s public statement was likely at Calvin’s request.

At that moment, as if sensing something, Calvin’s gaze shifted beyond the people around him and fixedupon Rosalie’s

direction.

The moment their eyes met, a hand suddenly covered Rosalie’s eyes, shrouding her in darkness.

“Don’t look. I don’t like the way you’re looking at other men so intently,” a cold voice softly whispered inRosalie’s ear, sending a shiver down her spine.

“Stop causing a scene. Take your hand off” Rosalie retorted.

“I’m not causing a scene,” Jonathan murmured. His eyes, typically gentle, were now glaring coldly atCalvin, who stood not far away.

Calvin, upon seeing Jonathan with Rosalie, furrowed his brow involuntarily.

“What’s going on? Weren’t they supposed to have broken up? Why is Rosalie with Jonathan?” hepondered.

The gazes of the two men locked from a distance. One displayed bewilderment, while the otheremanated a cold sense of jealousy.

Jonathan was well aware of his jealousy, especially when it came to Rosalie’s recent focus on Calvin.

Perhaps it was more accurate to say that he envied the connection between Rosalie and Calvin. Calvinhad known her for many years, much longer than Jonathan had, and he had been searching for her.

Despite all kinds of tricks he had done, she still remembered Calvin and the memories they hadshared.

What puzzled him, though, was that she didn’t seem to have disclosed that to Calvin. Otherwise, thewoman standing beside Calvin on that day wouldn’t have been Fiona.

“Jon!” Rosalie called out. “I didn’t mean to look at Calvin. With you covering my eyes like this, I can’tsee anything.” Though his hand seemed to rest gently over her eyes, she couldn’t manage to removeit, no matter how hard she tried. “Don’t let yourself fall for Calvin.” His voice sounded in her ear again.

She was left momentarily speechless. She had no intention of falling for Calvin. “I didn’t.”

“That’s good,” he said softly, his eyes still fixed on Calvin as he walked toward them. Slowly, hewithdrew his hand. The light once again entered Rosalie’s line of sight. However, as her eyes adjustedto the light, she noticed that Calvin and Fiona had already approached them.

“Rosalie, why are you here? And… you’re with Mr. Youngblood?” Fiona’s confusion was evident.“Wasn’t she separated from Jonathan? Why are they together again? What exactly is going on?” Themore she thought about it, the more bewildered she

became.

In recent days, she had been worried that Rosalie might suddenly approach Calvin and discloseeverything. So, in Calvin’s

presence, she had spared no effort to tarnish Rosalie’s image and reinforce the impression that shewas the little girl who had saved him in their childhood.

However, Rosalie hadn’t shown up to confront Calvin, and just as Fiona had started to relax a bit, sheunexpectedly ran into her there.

“What’s the matter? Can’t she be here? Can’t she be with me?” It was not Rosalie but Jonathan whospoke.

“Of course not,” Fiona replied with a forced smile.

“Why are you with her?” Calvin’s question was directed squarely at Jonathan without any attempt tohide his emotions.

“I’ve already told you. She… You can’t lay a hand on her,” Jonathan replied, somewhat sidesteppingthe question.

“You can’t give me orders,” Calvin retorted coldly…

Then, Calvin’s gaze returned to Rosalie’s face. “I recall you saying you wouldn’t love Jonathananymore. Why don’t you explain what’s happening now?”

Rosalie’s expression froze. Calvin’s words, spoken in front of Jonathan, demonstrated a completedisregard for anyone’s dignity.

Meanwhile, Jonathan’s countenance darkened abruptly, and the atmosphere grew tense.

“Mr. Gunner, this is my own business. I don’t believe there’s a need to report it to you.” Rosalie stoodup.

As she did, the gown she was wearing was fully revealed to Calvin.

The light purple gown, adorned with white and purple crystals, exuded an air of elegance and nobility. Its allure was even more captivating when she stood up than when she was seated.

Calvin was momentarily stunned. That dress… He had once seen it on a designer’s official website andhad wanted to purchase it. However, he was informed that the only available one had already beenreserved by someone else.

Due to the confidentiality principle, the buyer’s identity had not been disclosed.

It appeared Jonathan had acquired it.novelbin

Over the years, Calvin’s closet had become filled with numerous purple dresses. Every year, fromchildhood to adulthood, he would acquire them, trying to guess the girl’s age, height, and weight.

Often, he ended up buying the same style in various sizes.

However, since he had found Fiona, he hadn’t given her any of those dresses.

He couldn’t quite explain why. Was it reluctance? But what was he reluctant about?

As Calvin looked at Rosalie at that moment, a voice within him suddenly whispered, “I just wished thatRosalie could wear those dresses.”

The dresses that had carried Calvin’s yearning for so many years

Calvin found it rather absurd that Fiona was right beside him, but he harbored a desire for Rosalie towear those dresses.
