Chapter 455

Chapter 455

Hence, Lillian briefly told Callum about Lucas. After saying that, she spoke with gossipy intent. “I betLucas likes Rosalie. Otherwise, why would he drive Rosalie home every time after they discussed theinformation of the case? I have inquired about where he lives, and it’s in the opposite direction of whereRosalie stays.”

Callum breathed a sigh of relief when he finally knew that Lillian did not have a

rush on another man.

Even if she had told him that she liked him and truly wanted to get into a relationship with him, he wasstill a bit on edge. After all, her history was notorious.

“Even if he really likes Rosalie, it still depends on whether she wants to accept him. I anotherrelationship for the time being,” said Callum.

on’t think Rosalie is in the mood for

Lillian’s enthusiasm deflated in an instant when she heard that. “That’s true. It’s all Jonathan’s fault forhurting Rosalie deeply. I should have advised her not to be with him at that time.”

Lillian felt like slapping herself at the thought of approving the duo’s relationship back then.

“Take it easy. If they are fated to be with each other, and Lucas truly likes Rosalie, maybe she will openher heart to him in a few years. Who knows?” Callum said.

Lillian hesitated for a moment. “A few years… Isn’t it a little too long?”

She thought, “A woman’s youth is limited! Rosalie will be in her 30s a few years later.”

“Will it?” Callum chuckled in a low voice. “If you truly like someone, a few years of waiting are nothing. You will still be waiting for that person even if it takes ten years, 20 years, or even longer. If you refuseto wait, it can only be said that the so-called liking is just a talk.”

Lillian looked at the person in front of him blankly. The man said those words so casually as if time wasnothing to him.

“Will you wait for me, too?” she couldn’t help but ask.

Only after Lillian finished the question did she realize that it was inappropriate. After all, they werealready in a relationship, and he did not have to wait for her.novelbin

“I will. If you haven’t become enlightened and fallen in love with me, I will wait for you no matter howlong it takes.” Callum,” however, gave her a definite answer.

Lillian’s heart suddenly quickened its pace.

She wondered if that was also a kind of sweet talk. Nevertheless, she liked listening to it very much. There was a trace of sweetness surging in her heart, and she knew that what he said was true.

Even if his demeanor exuded nonchalance, his eyes clearly told her that he would really wait for heruntil she became enlightened.

Fortunately, she had become enlightened and truly fallen in love with him.

“Callum, what should I do? It seems that I will love you more,” Lillian muttered.

Momentarily stunned, Callum replied, “I’d prefer to hear that without the word ‘will.””

Lillian flashed him a smile. As something suddenly flashed across her mind, she asked, “By the way, when did you fall in love with me? We didn’t spend much time together three years ago. I don’t think it’s

because I performed too well that night, which made you unforgettable and fell in love with my bodybefore myself.”

Lillian began to go wild with her imagination.

Callum almost choked on his saliva. He could not keep up with Lillian’s train of thought at all.

In truth, she did not have a good performance but acted like a combination of a playboy and a bully in aTV series that night. He did not resist, though.

Thinking of the scene that night, Callum, who had always been manipulative and calm, couldn’t helpbut blush.

Lillian widened her eyes at the flush on his cheeks and mused, “Goodness gracious! H-He’s blushing! Is it true? He really blushed?”

She could not help but reach out to touch his cheek.

His body stiffened abruptly. However, he did not stop her and let her gently stroke his face with herfingers. “W-What are you doing?”

“Wow! Callum, you’re blushing.” Lillian was stunned.

Callum’s body stiffened even more. He turned his head away abruptly and said. “Don’t talk nonsense.”

“I’m not talking nonsense.” Alas, she saw that even his ears had reddened.

Thus, she reached out to stroke his ear and found that his red ears were burning.

“Stop that.” Callum tried to pull her hand off as he spoke.

“Hey, let me touch it again. I haven’t gotten enough of it!” she demanded without realizing howambiguous and suggestive her words were.

Callum only felt it was a torment at that moment. He wanted to take her hand off, but his body seemedto be yearning for her touch.

He wondered if that was the price of falling in love with someone. His mind and body seemed to reactin the opposite when facing her.

As for Lillian, she was completely mesmerized by Callum’s reddening cheeks and ears, thinking thather boyfriend might be purer than she had ever thought.

“Does this count as I’ve found a treasure?” she whispered inwardly,

“Callum, you’re so cute!” Lillian couldn’t help but wrap her arms around Callum’s neck and kiss himhard on the face.

If they weren’t in the restaurant, she would have eagerly launched herself into his embrace.

It made Callum feel even more tormenting inside.

When Lillian and Callum finished the meal and were about to leave, they saw Jonathan at the entranceof the restaurant.

Lillian was stunned for a moment before realizing that the restaurant Callum took her to that day was atop restaurant in

Strico..

People who usually went to dine there were wealthy and affluent. Ordinary people could not afford it atall.

As such, it seemed quite normal for them to meet Jonathan there

However, the sight of Jonathan put her in a bad mood and made her incredibly upset.

She could not accept the man looked normal even though he had made Rosalie not believe in love.

Suddenly, Lillian seemed to think of something and deliberately raised the volume as she spoke toCallum. “By the way, Callum, let’s bring Rosalie here next time.”

Upon hearing that, Callum raised his eyebrows and glanced at his girlfriend, who suddenly spokeloudly. Then, he shifted his gaze toward Jonathan, who was walking toward the same exit, beforereplying thoughtfully, “Sure.”

“But I don’t know if Rosalie has been free recently. You see. One man’s trash is another man’streasure. She has an admirer now. I heard that they are going to have a meal together.” Lilliancontinued to speak loudly.
