Goldie was stunned to have found her second chance mate in the Dark Moon pack of all packs.During Sheridan’s welcome party, many prominent men attended, but she did not find a secondchance mate, thinking that the moon goddess had given up on her because she rejected hercheating mate.
Alpha Nick could not believe what was happening. Dustin’s mate was Sheila’s cousin? Well, he washappy for them but could not congratulate them until he saw Sheila. Goldie seemed to be the onlyone in the yellow Bugatti La Voiture Noire, so he moved to the next one.
Bending slightly to see who was in the car, a familiar voice spoke behind him. “What made you walkpast the first
to the fifth car?”
Alpha Nick turned around at the sound of her voice. Sheridan wore an off–shoulder white dress,slightly below the knee with four–inch stilettos. Her appearance was semi–formal, and the winddisheveled her hair slightly, giving her a S*xy vibe.
Her beauty was stunning, and everyone, especially the mates of the four visiting Alphas, tookinterest as they had not expected to see the Alpha King’s daughter here with her seven brothers. Itwas not yet time for everyone to welcome her, as Alpha Nick had not finished admiring her.
“Sheila.” Alpha Nick ambled to her, wrapping his arm safely around her, with his head buried in thecrook of her n*ck, taking in her sweet cologne scent. Sheridan closed her eyes, so many memoriesrushing through her mind, as she hugged him back.
When she sat in the car beside Arnold, she saw Alpha Nick looking all regal, but just when shethought he was coming to open the door for her, he walked past the first car in which she sat to thefifth one.
Confusion brewed in her mind when Arnold rather came to open the door for her. From the way heheld her, it was evident that he missed her a lot. Alpha Nick had changed so much, and she couldnot deny that it warmed
her heart.
“For a moment, I was afraid you stooped me.” His voice was almost teary. Life for him was onlycomplete with her presence, and the moment he saw her, nothing else mattered.
“I could do that alone but not when you are promised by the Alpha King himself,” Sheridanresponded without trying to break from his embrace. It was heartwarming to be back, and she didnot feel the pain she thought her return would bring her.

Alpha Nick was overjoyed, his lips pressed briefly against hers, Charlotte’s heart sank. Then again,she felt it was all because of the fake arrangement of the pack not knowing that they divorced. Onlya few warriors were around the pack house, so perhaps it was because of the guests.
A few people such as Charlotte and Alpha Seiko were upset for different reasons. Alpha Seikothought that Alpha Nick was cheating on his mate, but Charlotte was upset because Alpha Nicknever hugged her properly, and now, he was shamelessly k*ssing Sheila, even if it was just brief.
At the thought, she was not as calm as she wanted to be. Arnold was more interested in touring theDark Moon Pack since Alpha Nick seemed to be genuinely in love with Sheridan. That was a greatrelief.
“Alpha Nick, permit me and my brothers to take a look around your pack. I hope you don’t mindtaking us
around.”
They were staying for just a day, not seeing anything wrong with their request being met. All theywanted was to show that Sheridan had her family’s support. The noise already attracted packmembers, as they excitedly began to approach the pack house, but Alpha Nick was not in the moodfor any introducions..
Sheila would only address them tomorrow, but as for tonight, there was just too much in store forher.
“No, I don’t, but we should all eat first. Thank you for bringing her, Alpha Arnold.” Alpha Nick wasgenuinely grateful, his joy knowing no bounds.
“I did not have a choice,” Arnold shrugged. For as long as the Alpha King approved it, Sheridan hadto leave as promised.
Alpha Nick wanted to ask about Daisy but knew this was not the right time to do so. Sheridan’s eyesmet with that of Athena, and she lowered it with guilt before sauntering towards her.
The middle–aged woman met her halfway, embracing her affectionately. Sheridan’s brothers werealready acquainting themselves with the other visiting Alphas and their mates. novelbin
“Ma’am, I’m very sorry for not keeping my promise,” Sheridan apologized, Athena pinched hercheek playfully.
“I never blamed you, but where is the n*cklace?” Her expression was stern, saying, “you promisedto always wear it.” Athena was still wearing her emerald bracelet, making Sheila guiltier.
“I’m so sorry, but I saw the pictures, so I hid it, but it should be in my jewelry box.” The day shediscovered Alpha Nick’s picture in the pendant, she felt betrayed but was not regretting putting itaway.

“Alright, we shall bring your things,” Atlas said as he and his brothers began to offload Sheridan andGoldie’s luggage.

Dustin was happy that things were picking up fast between Alpha Nick and Sheila, saying to Goldiewith a smile.
“I’m Dustin, the beta of this pack, and you are?” Dustin got the chance to get acquainted with hismate, but his
name rang a bell. Goldie recalled that Beta Dustin had been mean to Sheridan. As such, shewanted to reject
him.
“I’m Goldie…” A feminine hand pressed over her lips before the words come out. Sheridan alreadyguessed that Goldie would indeed reject his second chance mate if she was not there to stop her.Speak some sense into Goldie so at the mention of Beta Dustin’s name and quickly ran from whereshe stood with Athena covering her mouth with her palm.
“Must you go around rejecting all your mates?” Sheridan rebuked Goldie but Goldie wanted toexplain her reasons, having forgotten that Sheridan already knew about it.
At that instant, Goldie’s eyes landed on Tom, just as Sheridan’s eyes landed on Alpha Ansaldo andBree.
