Chapter 2495

Chapter 2495

After cultivating at the Labhranns’ holy site for some time, he had reached the Immortal Ascension’sNinth Stair. Now, he was only a step away from reaching the Mage Rank.

Meanwhile, Sophie had made arrangements for his Yogacara, which was a wave of invincible SwordEnergy left behind by a powerful figure of the Primeval Age.

After making a breakthrough, he left the holy site and returned to the accommodation prepared by the

Labhranns.

It was an independent courtyard. Upon his arrival, he noticed Henrik and Qusai happily chit-chattingaway. Wearing a saffron robe, the chubby-looking Henrik was leaning against his chair. With his feet onthe table, he said lazily, “Brielle’s tournament is just around the corner. I wonder if James can make iton time.”

Beside him, Qusai, who was wearing a huge robe, nibbled on a tiny blade of grass, saying coolly, “Idon’t think James is interested in Brielle.”

“Indeed.” Henrik said, “Brielle’s not an ordinary woman. If she was, I wouldn’t want James to marry her

either.”

Hearing this, Qusai’s curiosity was piqued. He leaned forward and asked, “I heard that the Labhrannsaren’t simple. Although the Azurean Clan and the Hadean Clan are the only formidable forces in theDemon Realm, the Labhranns are held in high status as well. They once had a glorious past.”

Henrik nodded and said, “But of course! Few know of the Labhranns’ history. The Labhrann Clan wasonce a terrifying force. Even now, they still aren’t a force to be reckoned with. The Hadean Clan is

desperately trying to broker a marriage between Lucifer Menachem and Brielle because they wish toassociate themselves with the Labhranns.”

James overheard the conversation.

He asked, “Did the Labhranns have a glorious past?”

Hearing this, Henrik and Qusai turned their heads.

Henrik stood up and said, “James, you’ve left your closed-door meditation?”

“Yes.”

James nodded and walked over to them before taking a seat.

Qusai greeted him, “James.”

James asked again, “Are the Labhranns powerful?”

“Very.”

Speaking of the Labhranns’ history, Henrik was exhilarated. He began narrating non-stop. “There arecountless races and clans in the Demon Realm, and those strongest among them are the HadeanClan, the Azurean Clan, and the Labhranns.

“During the Primordial Age, the Labhranns once produced a Grand Emperor who possessed enormousstrength. He reigned supreme in the Demon Realm for eighty million years. However, somethingunexpected happened, which brought about the fall of this Grand Emperor.”

Hearing this, James was somewhat shocked.

A Grand Emperor was a being who stood at the top of the power pyramid. Since the Labhranns wereable

to produce a Grand Emperor, they were not pushovers.

Henrik scanned his surroundings. Realizing they were alone, he whispered, “I heard from my masterthat the powerful figures of the Labhranns received half of a Curse Magic in the Primordial Age.Rumors say that they cultivated the Curse Magic to perfection. This brought about the misfortune thatgenerated their downfall.”

James knew about Curse Magics.

“What is this Curse Magic?”novelbin

Henrik shook his head and said, “I don’t know either. I only know that this Curse Magic originated in thePrimeval Age. Even then, it was a terrifying cultivation method.

“The Curse Magic had been long lost. That’s why the Curse Magic controlled by the families and clansof the Demon Race are all incomplete. However, even an incomplete Curse Magic possessesdevastating power.”

Henrik described the Curse Magic. However, he did not know the details either.

James did not ask any further questions.

“By the way…” Qusai asked, “You’re about to cross into the Mage Rank, right?”

“Yep.”
