Chapter 1722

Chapter 1722

James stared at the creature before him.

The creature was so terrifyingly strong that its palm wind alone was able to send him and Sky flying. Itmust have reached the peak of the Ninth Stair.

No, wait…

James had reached the peak of Ninth Stair himself. If the creature’s True Energy was even greaterthan his, it must have surpassed the Ninth Stair.

Could it be ninth-rank?

Upon thinking about this, James took a deep breath as he fixed his gaze on the creature before him.

The creature simply remained silent. After staring at James and Sky for some time, it returned to thecavern and disappeared from their view.

James turned to look at Sky behind him. Seeing that there was still some blood trace on his lips, heasked, “Is everything alright?”

“I’m fine.” Sky was wearing a solemn expression.

He had ascended the Ninth Stair. Though he begrudgingly acknowledged that he was comparativelyweaker than James, Sky could not accept the fact that he was sent flying by an unknown creature’sPalm Energy in the middle of nowhere. He wanted to become the most powerful individual in the world. With more and more beings that were greater in strength emerging, he was feeling rather dismayed.novelbin

“What are you thinking about?” Upon seeing Sky’s solemn expression, James stopped to think for amoment before laughing, “Don’t tell me you feel disgruntled after coming across someone strongerthan you.”

Sky looked at James in confusion. How did he know what he was thinking about?

With a smile, James said, “It’s a reasonable guess. You told me you wanted to be the most powerfulindividual in the world. However, someone stronger than you emerged during the tournament organizedby the Blood Race. Now, another creature stronger than you simply appeared out of nowhere. Youmust be in disbelief upon seeing so many powerful beings.

“Well, I just want you to know that there will always be someone better than you out there. It’s nighimpossible to stand at the very top of the world.”

Annoyed, Sky said, “Alright, cut the cr*p already. That creature didn’t utter a single word. We should gohave a look.”

Then, he turned to leave.

James grabbed his arm in time. “Do you have a death wish?”

“What should we do, then?” Sky stopped and asked, “We went to great lengths to find this place. Arewe giving up now?”

Janies considered his next course of action. The creature was so strong that even he was intimidated.

After thinking for a brief moment, James said, “You should stay here while I head in there and have alook.”

Upon hearing this, Sky was displeased. “Are you looking down on me, James? Do you think I’m weakerthan you?”

James was concerned about Sky’s safety as he was weaker than he was. After all, at least hecultivated the Invincible Body Siddhi which could render him temporarily invincible. Sky, on the otherhand…

“Do you have a death wish?” James looked at Sky and asked, “What if the creature’s ninth rank? Whatif it goes all out? Can you make your escape?”

Sky fell silent.

Since antiquity, no one had been able to cross into the ninth rank. Although his master was powerful,he had never seen him in combat. He only knew that his master had mastered many terrifying martialarts. Besides, he had never fought against a ninth-rank martial artist before. Though he knew nothingabout the strength of a ninth-rank martial artist, he had seen a member of the Blood Race blockingJames’ Fourteen Heavenly Swords with his own eyes.

He was not able to do the same thing.

After a while, he said, “Alright then, I’ll wait here for you. Be on your guard.”

James smiled.
