Chapter 759

Artemis reached out and gently rubbed Bailey's head. His face was filled with tenderness.

“Take your time to think about it. Don't stress yourself out too much. If you can find a cure, that wouldbe great. But if you can't, it's fine too. After all, you're not afraid of life or death. As long as you're withme wherever I go, that's all that matters.” Bailey cracked a smile.

“Okay, I'll listen to you. I won't force you. It would be best if you can survive, but if you can't, then I'llface the same fate as yours together.”

Artemis said, “Fine by me. Let's get up. I'll show you around. Tarragon Headquarters is located inMount Arnmond region with a unique geography, and it offers a different kind of scenery for us toenjoy.” Bailey reached out and wrapped her arms around Artemis' neck.

She said with a smile, “Sounds great. Help me put on my clothes.” Artemis kissed her cheek.

“I'd love to.” Inside the living room at Micah's residence, a female special agent brought along a littlegirl and went into the house from the outside.

“Mr. Neyman, I had brought Ms. Dawn.”

Micah was sitting comfortably on the couch. After he heard the report, he instinctively raised his head, his gaze falling on the young girl standing at the door.

Dawn still felt quite afraid of Micah as she timidly looked at him, not daring to move an inch from theentrance. Micah waved his hand, dismissing the surrounding housekeepers. He then stood up andwalked towards Dawn.

Dawn could not help but tremble all over, subconsciously stepping back. Micah reached out and gentlygrabbed her arm, slowly squatting down in front of her.

“Did your mother name you Dawn?” The young girl quickly crouched down and looked up at him.

“In response to your question, Mr. Neyman, it was Mrs. Luther who gave me this name, and... I reallylike it.”

Micah could not help but reveal a hint of a smile on his face when he saw how sensible and well-behaved Dawn was.

After a brief silence, he slowly reached out and gently stroked her head.

“You're a good child, and the fact that your mother cares about you shows that both of you are destinedto meet.” Dawn lowered her head slightly.

That's because you love everything that is related to Mother. You love me because of your love forMother. If I were not the foster daughter of Shannon, you probably wouldn't have even given me asecond glance.

Dawn said, “Having a mother like her is my blessing. She... she's wonderful. Being able to be herdaughter in this lifetime, I feel incredibly fortunate to accompany her by her side.”

The smile on Micah's face grew wider.

“I don't know if I have the honor to become your father, but I hope heaven grants me this opportunity.”

Dawn's eyes flashed with a hint of surprise.

The president of Tarragon, a renowned figure internationally, aspires to be my father?

She mustered the courage to look at Micah and bravely asked, “Do you love my mother very much?”

Micah's gaze instantly softened, and he chuckled lightly.

“Yes, I love her. I regard her as my life. In this world, no other woman can give me such a feeling. Onlyshe can.”

It's just that there's been too much pain between us. She gradually removed me from her life bit by bit,and I'm no longer that presence in her heart. I feel deeply regretful about this.

Dawn shook her head and said earnestly, “Perhaps she hadn't removed you from her life because Ioften saw her spacing out when alone. I'm still young, so I don't understand the love and feelings in thisworld. But whatever made her so deeply sad must have touched her heart. If you believe you once helda place in her heart, then it must be you who caused her melancholic.”

Micah raised his eyebrows, seemingly discovering something interesting.

“Little girl, you wouldn't want your mother to be alone for the rest of her life, would you?”

Dawn replied, “I don't want that. That's why I came to see you.” Micah reached out and pinched hercheek.

“Your mother really didn't love you for nothing. Tell me, what kind of cunning thoughts are you having inyour head?”

Dawn composed herself and looked at Micah seriously. She then said with a strong and resolute tone,“I can help you pursue Mother again. After spending a few days with her, I feel that she still has hope inher heart. The future is still long, and I hope she can find a good man.”

Micah reached out and embraced her. His emotions were agitated, causing his chest to tremble ever soslightly.

He said, “Perhaps you are the greatest gift bestowed upon us by God. I truly wish I could be yourfather. Although we don't share a blood connection, it doesn't prevent us from having a loving father-daughter relationship.”

Dawn buried her head in Micah's chest, listening to his strong heartbeat. A bright smile appeared onher little face. In her heart, she silently vowed to do everything she could to bring them together.

Mother has suffered so much, so I hope she can find a good man and lives a good life.

At the Fletcher residence in Dellmoor, Chanaea, Tamara was entertaining guests in the living room.

The atmosphere inside was somewhat oppressive, with an air of tension as if they were engaged in atense battle.

Tamara looked at the noblewoman across from her with a darkened expression and said coldly, “Mrs.Gibson, you must be joking. Although the Fletcher family has a place in Dellmoor, we have not yet

reached the point of bullying others with our power. As for the matter of putting Ms. Gibson underhouse arrest, I can give you a reasonable explanation. She hypnotized my husband into a vegetativestate, and now only she can awaken him. Out of desperation, we had to restrict her freedom. The dayshe figures out how to wake my husband is the day we will grant her freedom.” novelbin

Lindsay suddenly laughed softly.

As she laughed, she said, “Since my daughter has caused Mr. Fletcher to fall into a coma, it's only rightthat you put her under house arrest. However, I feel that there's something fishy about this situation.Mrs. Fletcher, I wonder if you could kindly allow me to go in and check on Mr. Fletcher's condition.”

Tamara's eyes lit up. The woman before her, as Josiah's wife and the matriarch of a prestigioushypnotist family, was undoubtedly more skillful than Yolanda, who was a smatterer.

If I let her go and take a look at Sloan, perhaps she can really awaken him.

Tamara said, “Of course, Mrs. Gibson. If you're willing to help, I naturally won't refuse.”

As she finished speaking, she stood up and gestured for her to proceed. Lindsay stood up and walkedtowards the spiral staircase with leisurely steps. Tamara hurriedly followed. She was curious to seewhat tricks Lindsay had up her sleeves.

She'd better not disappoint me, or else there's no way I will let her daughter leave with her today.

Inside the bedroom on the second floor, Lindsay examined Sloan's condition by the bedside, and upondiscovering something, her face suddenly turned grim.

“Someone really did tamper with him. I knew it! Yola's hypnosis skills are just above average, andthere's no way she could turn someone into a vegetative state. It turns out Mr. Fletcher is controlled bysome other drug.”

Tamara was not foolish enough not to understand the meaning behind Lindsay's words.

She strode over to Lindsay and asked anxiously, “What did the culprit do? What kind of drug iscontrolling Sloan? Can you please explain everything at once?”

Lindsay nodded and said, “It's a specially formulated drug, which is developed by my husband'sdisciple, Ethereal. Once someone takes this drug, they will fall into a bizarre state, appearing like aliving dead person.”

Ethereal... Ethereal...

Tamara clenched her fists tightly. Others might not know about Ethereal, but she knew that person.

Previously, Raiden told her that Bailey was Ethereal, which meant that Yolanda had been fooled byBailey.

In order to force me to apologize, that woman's willing to threaten Sloan's life. She's truly despicable.

Tamara almost fell for Bailey's tricks as she was about to call Bailey and bow to her, asking for her helpto save Sloan.

“Do you have any way to get rid of the effects of this drug?”
