Chapter 532

Olivia was taken aback.

“I-I'm doing this for your own good. Do you have any idea how many people would die to be theFletcher family's son-in-law? Yet, Scarlett doesn't fancy anyone but you. What else could you not behappy about?”

Justin stared at her intently before walking toward the door. At the same time, he remarked, “If she's sogreat, why don't you let my cousin marry her? Isn't it better to let the Campbell family have a marriageconnection with the Fletcher family? Why bother getting me involved?”

Crash!

A series of crashing sound rang out behind him.

“You imbecile! Don't you dare come back after stepping out of this house. I'll never acknowledge thatwoman from the Revelle family as my daughter-in-law. She'll never be recorded in the Xuereb family'sregistry or get buried in the ancestral tomb when she dies!”

After watching Justin walking out of the living room without turning back, Olivia slumped back onto thecouch, huffing furiously. “What a useless imbecile!”

Right then, the butler hurried over and patted Olivia's back to help the latter calm down while saying,“Mrs. Xuereb, it's no use getting angry at Mr. Justin. The daughter of the Revelle family is the root ofthe problem here. Mr. Justin won't give up unless we make her stay away from him. After that, we canset up a trap to force him to marry Ms. Fletcher.”

Recollecting herself, Olivia hissed after a momentary silence, “That b*tch is determined to be withJustin. What else can I do?”

“You can pay Mr. Revelle a visit and express your disgust for his daughter. As a father, he won't just sitidly by and let his daughter put herself in a horrible position by shamelessly pestering a man. Itwould've been fine if she was healthy, but she's sick now. She's a total vermin for pestering a man likethat.”

Olivia narrowed her eyes, agreeing with the butler's words. In fact, she looked much calmer afterhearing that. “You talked about setting up a trap just now. What kind of trap are you talking about?”

“Isn't your brother involved in politics? Find something to get your family into a lawsuit. When thathappens, only the Fletcher family can save them. Mr. Justin's not a heartless person. He'll give in andmarry Ms. Fletcher to help his uncle get through a difficult time.”

Olivia's eyes gleamed. “This is a great idea. I'll wait for Lettie to come back to Hallsbay and talk to herabout this. As for that b*tch, Veronique, I'll pop by the Revelle residence to talk to Mr. Revelle abouther. I'll get him to educate his daughter properly and make her stop pestering my son.”

Ever since Lionel placed the Saunders family's shares and assets under Victor's name, the latter wasonce again addicted to gambling after regaining his freedom.

Unwilling to see him falling deeper into addiction, Ulrich went over to the Gezmond residence, lookingfor Victoria.

Upon arriving in the living room, he said, “Please speak some sense to Mr. Victor. If he keeps gambling

like that, all the resources left by generations of the Saunders family will be spent away.”

Victoria could not help but smile bitterly. “Ulrich, I'm sure you're aware of my relationship with mybrother. He'll never listen to me. I'll only be humiliating myself by talking sense into him. Why don't youmove out from there? I'll buy you a condominium where you can live peacefully in retirement.”

The butler waved his hand and sighed. “All Salem does is loaf around. He's got me worried to death. He stopped his bad habits when Mr. Victor was still in jail two months ago. Now that he's released,Salem is back to fooling around with Mr. Victor again.”

'I'm sorry. It's my brother's fault for being a bad influence on your son.”

“No, no. Please don't say that, Ms. Victoria. I'm not blaming the Saunders family for it. It's my son's faultfor being an utter disappointment. I'm just worried he'll end up doing illegal things one day.”

Victoria pondered for a while before asking, “Perhaps I could talk to Lionel about involving your son inhis business and make him get his act together?”

“It's useless. He's got no talent for it. I'm only here to update you about Mr. Victor's situation so you cancome up with something. As for my son, I've already done everything I can to make him come to hissenses. Since he still wants to live like that, then I can't do anything about him anymore.”

Shaking her head, Victoria said nonchalantly, “Ulrich, I really can't do anything about my brother. I'vehanded the entire Saunders residence to him. It's his problem if he loses everything he owns, not mine. The assets are worth tens of billions. It should last him several years.”

Several years?

Ulrich shook his head with a bitter smile. Judging by the rate Mr. Victor's losing, it'll be gone in a fewmonths.

“All right. Since you've already said so, then I shall not continue convincing you otherwise. I'm anoutsider, after all. Anyway, please take good care of your health. I hope you'll give birth to a healthybaby. I'm sure your parents in heaven will be happy for you.”

Meanwhile, at the study of the Shurmer residence, Zeke was sitting on the couch and talking on thephone.

“Have you looked into the thing I told you to investigate?”

“Yes, Mr. Shurmer. The reporters who went to Century Grandeur yesterday were arranged by Ms.Shurmer. However, she didn't contact them personally. Instead, it was through—”

“Through who?”

“Through Ms. Carr of Cosmetico. Ms. Shurmer got Ms. Carr's help to plant those reporters.”

Ms. Carr? Sofie Carr?

It was only then that Zeke remembered her existence.

Could Sofie Carr actually be Sophia Carr, the wife of Clarence Jefferson and the mother of Zoey? novelbin

“Keep an eye on Zoey for twenty-four hours. Find out who she meets and what she does during that

time.”

“All right.”

Click.

Just then, the door to the study opened and in came Steven.

“I have to go now. I'll be hanging up. Just do everything according to my instructions.”

After ending the call, Zeke raised his brow at his father and asked nonchalantly, “It's late. Why are youstill here instead of sleeping?”

Steven snorted and hissed, “Do you think I don't know you've been helping Bailey repeatedly? Tell me.Have you confirmed that she's your younger sister?”

Zeke flashed Steven a smile. “Why? Do you suspect it, too?”

“How can I not be suspicious when that lady looks like your mother? Besides, she's not the daughter ofthe Jefferson family. And don't bring up the paternity test. I'm sure someone tampered with it.”

Zeke could not help but chuckle. “It looks like I really can't hide anything from you.”

With that, he opened his drawer and took out a paternity test report.

Steven marched over and snatched the report from Zeke. After getting a clear look at the content of thereport, he staggered a few steps backward. “W-What's going on? Is she really my daughter?”

Over at the Saviors' branch in Yannopolis, Caridee had finally regained consciousness after an entireday.

Her arm hurt a lot. As she subconsciously reached out to touch it, another arm stopped her.

“Don't move.”

Caridee tried to move her body but to no avail.

“W-What happened to my right arm?”

“It's crippled.”

Caridee stared blankly at Veikko, thinking she had heard him wrong. “W-What did you say just now?”she asked with a trembling voice.

Veikko was a straightforward person who never beat around the bush. He repeated, “Your right arm'scrippled. You won't be able to move it for the rest of your life.”
