Victoria was stunned.
She followed her gaze and looked down.
She was wearing her nightgown. However, after all that moving, a large part of her front was exposed.

She narrowed her eyes and asked through gritted teeth, “At this point, rumorsabout you being a sugar baby and having fallen so far as to become someone's mistress are literallyeverywhere! Now that your backer isn't revealed yet, you can still save yourself. Do you know whatwould happen to you if Lionel was exposed?”
“I know.” Looking at Bailey, Victoria calmly continued, “Everyone will curse at me for being ahomewrecker who ruined someone else's marriage. Many would even think I have approached andseduced Lionel with ulterior motives, like trying to take Saunders Group back from him.”
“If you know, why aren't you leaving with me?”

Bailey shook her head. With a straight face, she said, “No, we can't leave together. Artemis will stopus.”
Edmund was not surprised at all. He had known this would happen. “I mean we can finally leaveHallsbay and live the kind of life we used to have overseas. Oh, yeah, have you thought of a way toleave?”
