Before Artemis could say anything, Bailey went on, “I know the words I'm about to say will hurt you, butI'm still going to say it. The world has labeled me as your brother's property. Everyone knows I gavebirth to two children to Simon. They don't care how in love you and I are and will only believe we'restraddling the bottom line of morality. Let's give in to fate, Artemis. At least, for the sake of the children.”
Artemis sighed before he rolled over to the side and reached for the quilt. He pulled it over them andput his arm around her waist, enveloping her in his embrace.
This is also a kind of torture. With our bare skin touching, I can feel the desire in me burning oncemore.
“Fine. You haven't gotten any rest because of the programming competition. Don't overthink and go tosleep. I won't touch you.”

Justin let out a sigh of relief. “I have let her down. Lettie is a wonderful woman. She'll definitely meet ahusband who will love and adore her.”
“That's enough. Save the courtesy. We'll announce to the public that the Fletcher family is the one whoproposes the break off of the engagement. The Xuereb family has no problem with it, right?”

Meanwhile, in the living room of the Xuereb residence, Olivia was surprised by the sudden visit of adistinguished guest.
“What brings you all the way to Hallsbay, Mrs. Fletcher?”
“The kids have caused such a mess, and Lettie called me crying about how she wanted to die. Howcan I leave things be?”
Olivia immediately gestured for Tamara to sit. She poured her a cup of coffee and said apologetically,“This is the Xuereb family's fault. We have caused much distress to Lettie, but please rest assured,Mrs. Fletcher. We'll think of a way to solve the issue of the marriage certificate as quickly as we can sothat Lettie can marry into the Xuereb family as soon as possible.”
Tamara couldn't help but sneer inwardly. Does this woman think I'm oblivious to her plan? She wants tolatch on to the Fletcher family. Surely it's not for the sake of the Xuereb family. I'm well aware she'sdoing it for her own family. Her family holds some mid-level posts in politics within the capital. However,this woman wants to elevate their status. Olivia looked at her in confusion and questioned, “What are you implying, Mrs. Fletcher?”
Indeed, I'm oblivious about any other obstacles other than that b*tch from the Revelle family hiringsome hacker and hacking into the City Hall's database to register her marriage.
“It looks like your precious son tells you nothing at all.” Tamara smiled coldly. “Such as... him raising anillegitimate child outside.”
“What?” Olivia jolted up from her seat and glanced at Tamara in disbelief. “Has there been a
misunderstanding, Mrs. Fletcher? Justin doesn't even get close to the opposite sex. H-How is itpossible for him to raise an illegitimate child outside?”
Tamara's gaze turned colder. “Are you saying I'm accusing your son? Do we need to call him here andask him about it?”
Seeing that Tamara was angry, Olivia quickly said, “That's not what I meant. It's just hard for me toaccept after hearing it. Did you manage to find out the child's whereabouts, then?”
“Find out?” Tamara sneered. “The mother and son have shown up themselves. Do you think I still needto find out?”
Olivia was baffled.
However, she wasn't dumb and immediately understood who Tamara was referring to. “Y-You're talkingabout Veronique and her nephew? I did wonder why the Revelle family would let Veronique raise hernephew. So that kid is Veronique's illegitimate child? What a b*tch!”
A satisfied smile stretched across Tamara's face.
“Since you're aware of the truth, how are you planning to deal with this?”
“I definitely won't allow that mother and son into the Xuereb family. Lettie is the only one worthy enoughto be the Xuereb family's daughter-in-law.”
“Excellent.” Tamara clapped her hands and chuckled. “It looks like my daughter's love for your son isn'twasted. I've come to Hallsbay this time to deal with Veronique and her son.”
Olivia sat back down and said carefully, “Let me know if you need my help. I'll assist you in every way Ican.”
At night, Bailey was cooking in the kitchen at Shelbert Condominium when Zayron ran in with a laptopin his arms.
“This is bad, Bailey! Vicky is in trouble!”
Bailey instantly turned off the gas and snatched the laptop from Zayron. Her expression darkened asshe glanced at the screen.
One of the headlines read: Breaking news! After Saunders Group went bankrupt, a mysterious wealthyman seemed to have taken the Saunders family's daughter as a sugar baby. She has stooped to beinga man's toy.
