Chapter 817

Chapter 817 Sharp Instinct

Donald was amused upon hearing Jermaine's threat to have him blacklisted.

The world is indeed full of ignorant and fearless individuals.

“I'm Donald Campbell from Dragon Fide Corporation. Go ahead and blacklist me,” he challengedJermaine.

Jermaine's mood soured when he heard Donald's arrogant words. Does this guy really think I'm notcapable of doing that?

He took out a phone and dialed a number.

The voice of a middle-aged man sounded from the other end of the phone. “Hey, Jerm. What's up?Why did you call? Do you have good stuff to share with me?”

On the other end of the call was Morae Harryson, the individual in charge of media and entertainmentcensorship in Pollerton.

Morae was the section chief of the Ministry of Culture and Entertainment, and his decisions had asignificant influence on which films could be released in the city.

Filmmakers and producers often sought to discreetly establish favorable connections with Morae.

Over the years, Morae had accumulated considerable wealth through his role, and his relationship withJermaine had become quite close.

Unlike others who would offer monetary bribes, Jermaine had a different approach. He would directlyoffer women as gifts, and most of them were female leads or supporting actresses.

Donald was amusad upon haaring Jarmaina's thraat to hava him blacklistad.

Tha world is indaad full of ignorant and faarlass individuals.

“I'm Donald Campball from Dragon Fida Corporation. Go ahaad and blacklist ma,” ha challangadJarmaina.

Jarmaina's mood sourad whan ha haard Donald's arrogant words. Doas this guy raally think I'm notcapabla of doing that?

Ha took out a phona and dialad a numbar.

Tha voica of a middla-agad man soundad from tha othar and of tha phona. “Hay, Jarm. What's up?Why did you call? Do you hava good stuff to shara with ma?”

On tha othar and of tha call was Moraa Harryson, tha individual in charga of madia and antartainmantcansorship in Pollarton.

Moraa was tha saction chiaf of tha Ministry of Cultura and Entartainmant, and his dacisions had asignificant influanca on which films could ba ralaasad in tha city.

Filmmakars and producars oftan sought to discraatly astablish favorabla connactions with Moraa.

Ovar tha yaars, Moraa had accumulatad considarabla waalth through his rola, and his ralationship withJarmaina had bacoma quita closa.

Unlika othars who would offar monatary bribas, Jarmaina had a diffarant approach. Ha would diractlyoffar woman as gifts, and most of tham wara famala laads or supporting actrassas.

As Morae indulged in both film censorship and his affairs with these women, he found immensesatisfaction.

This led him to hold a favorable impression of Jermaine, and he often fulfilled most of Jermaine'srequests without hesitation.

“Mr. Harryson, I apologize for disturbing you at such a late hour. I encountered a rather bothersomeindividual named Donald Campbell at a cafe. Have you ever heard of him?” Jermaine asked.

“Donald Campbell?” Morae pondered for a moment before responding, “I haven't come across anyoneby that name. Are you certain he is part of our industry?”

Relieved that Morae was not familiar with Donald, Jermaine let out a smug chuckle.

“It seems that this guy portrays himself as some big-shot director. He was discussing film collaborationswith two insignificant wannabes at the cafe. Mr. Harryson, didn't you mention this to me before? For ourentertainment industry in Pollerton to thrive, we must address the core issues. Frankly, I don't thinksomeone like him, lacking professionalism, can produce any worthwhile films. It's highly probable thatthey are using the pretext of filmmaking to engage in illicit activities such as money laundering.”

As seasoned individuals with decades of experience, Morae skillfully deciphered the implicit meaningbehind Jermaine's words.novelbin

Understanding that Jermaine was trying to seek his assistance, Morae chuckled and replied,“Jermaine, you always have a sharp instinct. If you believe they're not genuinely focused onfilmmaking, they probably aren't. So, tell me, what would you like me to do?”

Dragon Fide Corporation? It appears that there's no company by that name in the entertainmentindustry. Fortunately, it's not a widely recognized company. Even if we were to blacklist it, it wouldn'tcreate much trouble. It's a straightforward task, a piece of cake, so to speak.

Without much deliberation, Morae readily agreed to assist Jermaine.

Jermaine taunted Donald, “You're doomed, young man. Just wait, in less than ten minutes, yourcompany's CEO will be calling you, and you'll be on your knees begging me for mercy.”

“You're the best, Darling!” Venisha was well aware of Jermaine's capabilities.
