Left with no other choice, Aiden turned to Logan for help. “Are you seeing this, officer? It’s daylightrobbery! Won’t you do anything about it?”
“You guys have to sort this out yourselves,” Logan replied with a shrug. “If he does have a contract,you’ll have to compensate him for the losses incurred. Otherwise, it’s off to jail you go.”
“Fine! I’ll transfer the money. Will that do?” Aiden fumed, teeth clenched in utter rage.
That’s more like it, Mr. Ward. Well, don’t just sit there. Go on and call your company’s financedepartment!” Alex urged.
Aiden glared at the man before him. As reluctant as he was, he knew the only way to avoid jail timewas by instructing his staff to transfer seven hundred million to Four Seas Corporation.
“Is the transfer done, Mr. Ward?” Alex asked, his lips curled into a smug grin.
