Chapter 458 Autumn Is Bringing Medicine
Autumn had chosen to let her long, black hair down. She was dressed in an eggshell yellow dress andhad on some light makeup that made her seem extra girly.
She was dragging a big box with her as she looked at Alex shyly.
“Mr. J–Jefferson, I’m Autumn. I’m not sure if you still remember me,” Autumn said nervously.
After the conversation she had with her father last night, she hadn’t been able to sleep.
All she had kept thinking about was Alex.
After all, she was at the age where most girls started to become obsessed with romance.

Alex asked curiously, “What’s gotten into you? You seem pretty different from the last time we met.”

As for Flynn and Lexa, they were left speechless.

Alex smiled. He could definitely spot the passion and admiration Autumn had for him in her eyes.
He could only pretend as if he couldn’t see a thing,
He was a married man, but even if he were single, he couldn’t help the girl’s reputation. He didn’t wantto waste her youth.
Even Maggie’s gaze toward him had started becoming rather ambiguous, let alone Ginny andJessica’s.
He wasn’t cocky, but as a man, he was still pretty confident about that kind of thing.
All he could do was continue to act clueless in front of these three people, and now Autumn, too.
“Mr. Jefferson, are you making a pill?” Autumn asked, placing the box down.
“Yep.” Alex nodded as he started to light the stove.
“M–may I watch you?” Autumn ?sked, looking at Alex excitedly.
Alex glanced at her before chuckling. “If you really don’t have anything better to do, you can help mearrange the herbs with the two of them over there.”

“Okay! Thank you, Mr. Jefferson!” Autumn’s heart leaped at the chance. Her true goal was never towatch him brew the pill. It was to simply spend more time with him so they could get closer.
Autumn started asking Flynn how to arrange the herbs.
Flynn felt like laughing, but he still taught Autumn how to arrange everything properly.
Once she roughly understood what was needed, she opened the case that was filled to the brim withtop– tier herbs.
Flynn caught sight of them and said in surprise, “Does your family own a herbal pharmacy? These areall top–tier herbs.”
Autumn laughed lightly. “Nope! My dad got these herbs through some connections he had. My dad gotto know some people in the medicinal herb business who had quite the collection. They sold all theseto my dad.”
Alex nodded as he added, “Mr. Jones has pretty good connections in the industry. I asked him to getme these herbs because I was aware that he knows a few owners of herbal pharmacies.”
“I see.”
Autumn said, “Actually, my grandfather owns the largest herbal pharmacy. Most of these came from hisstore.”
“Who is this grandfather you’re speaking of?” Alex asked curiously.
Alex double–checked the herbs that Autumn had brought and directed her to sort them out on theirdesignated shelves before returning to watch over the Alchemy Pot.
The Alchemy Pot was already at the perfect temperature, so he placed the Wild Thousand–YearGinseng into the pot.
The main ingredient of the Pill of Longevity was the Wild Thousand–Year Ginseng. It had to be over ahundred degrees before he could add in any side ingredients or add–ons, and only after that could hebegin to raise the temperature to combine them.
“Master, I got the herbs you sent me to get.”
Right then, Auriel’s chirpy voice rang out from outside.
Alex glanced in her direction, only to see Auriel carrying a case into the room.
She was dressed in her school pinafore and looked young and cheerful, resembling a bright oriole.
“What kind of herbs?” Alex asked, taken aback.
He hadn’t asked Tyrael for any herbs.
“My grandfather heard that you needed herbs to create some pills, so he asked for them fromLumenopolis. Here, you can check if it’s what you need,” Auriel said with a smile, passing the case toAlex.
There were only three herbs in the case, but Alex was already shocked by the very first glance at them.
All three of them were the best of the best quality.

“Is it for Richard?” Auriel asked.
“Yep.” Alex nodded.
Master, I want to learn how to make pills too,” Auriel stated with a face full of excitement.
