Maggie looked at Alex longingly and said, “Mr. Jefferson, I know that you are a good person, just thatmany a time you do not understand what a girl has in mind.”
Alex did not deny, rather he nodded and admitted, “Perhaps.”

Alex looked at Maggie curiously and teased, “Does that include the Grant family? Perhaps they arewilling to marry you off to me?”
