Kate’s eyes filled with tears of excitement. “Thank you, Alex. From now on, I will be a good wife and agood mother. I will take good care of Emma and treat Stanley as if he was my own child.”
“I’m glad to hear that. There’s still some work at the company, so I’ll head there for a bit. Your burnhasn’t healed yet, so rest well!” Alex gave Kate a peck on her forehead and left the villa.
While watching Alex drive away from the second-floor balcony, Kate finally took out her phone and -dialed a number.
“You did a good job. I’ve already had the money sent to you. Try not to show up in Nebula City in thefuture. If you dare to speak carelessly, I’ll have someone cut off your tongue!” Kate said.
“Please don’t worry. Ms. Sutton. I will take my son to another city right away. We won’t appear hereagain in the future.” The voice on the phone was that of a woman. If Alex were still around, he woulddefinitely recognize it as the voice of the woman who had previously humiliated Kate.

“The renovation is already complete. I can move in any time I want. Thank you, Mr. Jefferson. I’d like toinvite you to visit my house Would you like to come?” Jessica requested.
Seeing that Alex was hesitating. Jessica quickly said, “You went through so much trouble to get me ahouse. Can’t I just treat you to a meal?”
