Chapter 1022 Explosion
Elsa could hear the loud sound of a helicopter landing outside even though she was indoors.
When she heard the helicopter, she felt a little relieved. A smile appeared on her face as she looked atthe people locked in the cage. “Don’t be afraid. The police have arrived. You will all get out of heresafely.”
“Really? You’re not lying to us, right? Is someone coming to rescue me? Let me out. I want to go home,I want to go home!”
“That’s great, that’s great! I can finally leave this bloody place. I don’t want to stay here any longer. Iwant to go home and find my mother!”
“Let me out quickly. I want to leave this cursed place and never come back!”
When the people imprisoned in the cage heard Elsa saying that someone was coming to rescue them,they became agitated.
“Please calm down. Let me go out and take a look. I’ll make sure they come to rescue you as soon aspossible. Rest assured that you will not be harmed as long as the police are here.
After assuring those people, Elsa took out her phone and called the team leader of the elite team.
The phone was quickly answered. Elsa briefly explained the situation and told the team leader, MartinWarrick, her specific location.
During the phone call, the survivors who had been unruly previously all became quiet miraculously.Only after Elsa hung up the phone did they start calling for help again.
In the next few minutes, gunshots reverberated from outside. Followed by the sound of urgentfootsteps. the door of the room was kicked open.
Elsa stared at the door cautiously. When she saw the uniforms on the people coming in, she let out asigh of relief and finally smiled.
“You’re finally here. Open this cage!” Elsa immediately sought help from them as they entered theroom.
The lock on the large iron cage was too big for her to open. Otherwise, she would have opened it longago instead of waiting until now.
Martin beckoned to his subordinates, and soon, a relatively small and thin man stepped forward. Hetook out a piece of wire and approached the iron cage, opening the cage in no time.
Chaos ensued instantly as the people imprisoned inside rushed out.
Martin was unaffected by the situation. Remaining expressionless, he lifted his pistol and fired a shot atthe ceiling.

been dealt with, Captain Warrick? Did you see a young man in his twenties? He’s wearing a white shirtand
black pants”
Martin froze, then shook his head. “Why? Is he your comrade?”
“All the officers have died in the line of duty. I am the only one who survived because I managed to callfor assistance,” Elsa replied with a hint of sadness on her face, which she quickly concealed.Something else came to her mind and she asked, “Captain Warrick, have all the criminals beencaught?”novelbin
Martin shook his head. “We rushed here once we received your message. We did deal with somepeople we encountered on the way, but we don’t know if some of them got away.”
Elsa was about to ask something else when a loud explosion came from behind.
She sensed that something bad might have happened, and her heart clenched.
Is Alex in danger?
