Chapter 3173

“Don’t think too much about it either. You two just have to go throughmore than others, but you'll definitely see the rainbow after the storm. You know Liberty's really busy right now and under a lot of pressure.“Although she was performing well at her job before she got married, she became a housewife afterward and dissociated from society for afew years. After her divorce, she set up her own business but did not doit for long before she was expected to start her own company just to goup against Fisher Enterprise.

“She doesn't have enough experience and is under a lot of pressure. The Fisher heir isn't a pushover either. Liberty isn't in a rush to getmarried probably because she doesn’t want to be distracted from thefight at hand.”

Duncan replied, “That's true. Liberty is under a lot of pressure now andis very busy too. I shouldn't overthink it and should focus on supportingher. I'll rush to her side right away when she needs me.

“But when she doesn't, I should silently support her and Sonny, andwatch over her as she moves forward and becomes stronger, bit by bit.”He was looking forward to Liberty's transformation.

Liberty was under tremendous pressure because she was with him too.Everyone kept saying she only managed to get closer to him to stealhis heart somehow through Serenity.

Even when he helped her get rid of the rumors, she found out about iteventually because people still gossiped in private.

Was she not working this hard to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with him?Zachary smiled and said. “I told you, you're being too sensitive. You twoare fine. You defeated all your rivals for Liberty's affection, but I'm surethat if someone tried to fight Liberty for you, you'd keep your distancefrom them before Liberty could even take action.”

Duncan had not easily fallen for anyone even in his twenties.

Now that he was almost forty, he was even more mature andcomposed, and would not be easily tempted because he had seen allsorts of beauties.

Duncan had calmed down a lot.

He drank half his coffee and said, “I've disturbed you and taken up yourtime. Let's talk about business now. I can't let your time go to waste—Ishould give you a bit of a reward.”

Zachary laughed. “I won't hold back then.”

Duncan stayed for another two hours before leaving.

After returning to Lewis & Co.'s office, he had just entered the buildingwhen the receptionist hurriedly greeted him and told him Rhea hadarrived and was waiting for him upstairs.

Duncan nodded.

Rhea had said she would come another day, but before he couldcontact her, she came of her own volition.

Duncan did not think much about it and waved his bodyguard off beforewheeling himself into the elevator and soon reached the top floor.

“Mr. Lewis,” his secretary Owen greeted him when he exited theelevator. Owen naturally walked around to push his wheelchair.

“Mrs. Torres has been waiting almost an hour in the VIP waiting room.”Duncan said in a low voice, “Why didn’t you call me?"

Owen replied, “Mrs. Torres said that you must be busy if you hadn'tgotten back to the office yet and told me not to call and rush you, andthat it was fine for her to wait.”

That was why he had not called Duncan.

Normally, Duncan did his rehabilitation exercises in the morning andwould stop by the office in the afternoon. He rarely spent the whole dayin the office.novelbin

Since Rhea was so considerate, Owen did not call Duncan.

When Rhea and her secretary heard the movement outside, theyguessed that Duncan had returned, so Rhea came out of the VIPwaiting room with her secretary trailing after her.

"Mr. Lewis.”

She smiled politely and walked over to Duncan, seemingly unthinkinglywalking around to the back of Duncan's wheelchair. Assuming shewanted to push Duncan, Owen let go and gave way to her.
