Chapter 3140

“Of those who have joined the workforce, they’re either helping with the family business or settingup their own. Which one of them isn’t successful? They’re all wealthy enough that they mightactually scoff at our assets.”

Tania had no comment on that, but finally said, “I’ll leave it all to my grandchildren then.”

Just like Grandma May.

After her sons got married, she tried giving her sons and daughters-in-law a portion of her assets, but apart from the jewelry she gave her daughters-in-law, they refused anything else.

They told her to spend however and as much as she fancied to her heart’s content.

How could an old lady spend so much money on her own though?

She had many filial grandchildren too. Even then, she could not spend all her money, so shedecided to invest it.

As the person who raised the outstanding man that Zachary was, she had never made a loss in herinvestments before. As a result, her personal assets just kept growing.

Grandma May then said she was going to leave it all to her nine grandsons. As the eldest, Zacharywould get a little more, but it would be divided evenly among the rest.

She did not care if they wanted it and wrote her will anyway. Once she passed on, her lawyer wouldexecute her wishes. They would not be able to refuse then.novelbin

Serenity did not know Tania was worried about her being bullied by her future sister-in-law; she wasbusy with her company.

While working, she saw the video Austin sent in the group chat, asked a question, and did not askfurther once she learned that he still had a second round the next afternoon.

Austin would announce it in the family group chat once there was an outcome.

Around three in the afternoon, Serenity stopped working and said to Elisa, “I’m going to fetch Sonnyfrom his preschool.”

Sonny could go home at four.

If Serenity left for the preschool now, she would arrive just in time to pick him up.

Elisa hummed in acknowledgment. “Go on, then. Tell the driver to drive slower. Oh, right—when areyou going for your check-up? I’ll go with you.”

Before Serenity could reply, her secretary Helen answered with a smile, “Ms. Stone, Mr. York willdefinitely go with Ms. Hunt for her check-up. You shouldn’t try to steal his spot.”

Elisa laughed. “If I wanted to take his spot, he would have to let me have it. But since he’s so goodto our precious Seren, I won’t try to steal it from him. I’ll let him go to the check-up with her.”

Serenity laughed too. “The appointment’s already made and Zack has arranged to come with me.”

Zachary himself said that the child was theirs. Though he could not share the pain of giving birthwith her, he definitely had to go with her to her first check-up.

Considering how busy he was, it would be nothing short of a miracle if he managed to make it to herevery appointment.

Elisa said enviously, “That’s so good for you, Seren. You’re what all women aspire to. You’re thestandard of marital bliss for women everywhere.”

Helen remarked, “Ms. Stone can use Ms. Hunt as your standard, but ordinary people like us canforget it.”
