Chapter 3118

Belinda did not want that!

She had given so much, and sacrificed so much, but ended up back at square one.

“Since you like fooling around so much, you’ll be free to get as many girlfriends as you like onceyou’re divorced. No one will restrict you. But if you do get divorced, I want you to get a vasectomy toavoid having more children with your second wife or something. That’ll be bad for my grandchildren.

“Once they have a stepmother, even their father will change. I have to make sure mygrandchildren’s interests are protected while I’m still alive.”

Adrian was speechless for a moment. “Mom, I’m your son. And even if I do remarry and havechildren, wouldn’t they be your grandchildren too? How could you be so biased?

“Plus, they’re already in their teens. By the time I remarry and have more, they might already beadults. Why should they be scared of getting bullied and abused by their stepmother?”

Belinda could not be bothered to listen to her son’s rationalizations and said coldly, “These are myconditions. After the divorce, you must get that vasectomy. I have many grandchildren as it is and Idon’t need more.

“Unless Caroline has a daughter. That, I’ll accept. The rest of you already have children. There’s noneed to have more.

“And even if your kids are already in their teens, once they have a stepmother, she’ll whisper intoyour ears every day, and then you’ll slowly grow biased. You might end up giving all your assets toyour children in your second marriage. That’s very unfair to my existing grandchildren.

“To protect their legitimate rights and interests, you’re getting that vasectomy immediately after thedivorce. If you don’t want to, you’re not remarrying and having more children. If I find out that any of

your girlfriends are pregnant and you’re not taking her for an abortion, I’ll help her get one—by hookor by crook!” Belinda was used to getting her way. She did not allow her son to defy her.

“If you don’t want me to control you, you can sever your ties with me and leave the Fisher family. But you’ll have to return a reasonable amount of the assets you got from the family. I’ll distributethem equally to your children.

“That way, whether or not you marry an eighteen- or a twenty-year-old, it’ll have nothing to do withus anymore.”

Adrian was at a loss for words.

Usually, Belinda treated all his kids the same, though she favored his eldest son a little bit morebecause the little boy was her first grandchild whom Belinda and Hunter loved and doted on dearly.

He did not expect his mother to demand that he get a vasectomy for her grandchildren’s sake justas he was about to divorce his wife.

“If I do get divorced from Emma, I won’t get married again and I won’t have any more kids, alright?”

He did love his children.

He would just not have any more children then. Anyway, his youngest was already in middle schoolwhile his eldest was in the last year of high school and would be an adult soon. He had his heir.

Belinda warned coldly, “You know I never say anything I don’t mean. Don’t think that I’m joking.”

“I know, Mom.”

His mother never joked around.

Adrian promised, “Don’t worry, Mom. Your beloved grandchildren are my children, after all. As theirfather, how could I not think about their future?”

“It’s good that you know that.novelbin

“Once your dad’s discharged from the hospital, he’ll move in with Jason. His care will be yours andyour brothers’ responsibility from now on. Either way, you three have enough room to take turnsletting him live with you.

“As long as it’s within a reasonable amount, I’ll pay for all his expenses. You guys just have to takecare of him and spend time with him.”

Adrian asked carefully, “Mom, Dad’s already in such a state—can’t you forgive him? Cece’s deadnow, too. Let bygones be bygones and forgive Dad, Mom. You know the incident with Dad andCece was an accident.”

If he had known the wine was drugged, he would not have given it to his father to drink.

“No way!

“When I see your dad, I will always remember what he’s done to me. He absolutely hates me too,so since we’re tired of each other, let’s just not see each other again.”

Belinda was making it clear that she was separating from Hunter.
