Chapter 3111

Caroline’s voice traveled from the pantry. “I haven’t started on my work yet, so I decided to just do itmyself.”

Adrian commented, “You’re afraid that someone will poison your coffee.”

“I’m not afraid that my secretary will poison me, but I am quite worried that my big brother will.”

Adrian’s expression darkened and he said heatedly, “I’m your biological brother! How could I poisonyou?!”

Although he disliked Caroline very much, he dared not touch even a single strand of hair on herhead, at least while their mother was still alive.

Once Belinda passed away and Caroline succeeded her as the matriarch, it would be even harderfor him to move against Caroline then. It would be a miracle if she let him go.

Caroline laughed drily but stayed silent.

After a moment of waiting, Caroline came out of the pantry.

She brought with her two cups of coffee and walked over to the sofa. She placed one cup in front ofAdrian before sitting opposite him and sizing him up.novelbin

Adrian was irked by this and asked irritably, “Why are you looking at me like that? Do you notrecognize me anymore?”

“I don’t. I can’t believe you were that sort of person,” Caroline said without holding back.

“Last night, you treated Emma too viciously. Even if you don’t have any feelings for her anymore, she’s still your wife and the mother of your children. You two have been married for over a decade

and she never did anything to wrong you the whole time.

“You were the one who cheated on her and wronged her, but she endured it all for the sake of yourchildren and did not divorce you.

“But how did you treat her in return? Yes, I’m your sister, but I’m a woman too. It’s really chilling tosee the way you treat Emma from a woman’s point of view.”

Adrian could not say anything to refute Caroline’s accusations.

At the mention of what happened last night though, he hesitated and then said to Caroline, “You’veheard that Celine’s dead, right?”

“I know. Mom told me,” Caroline acknowledged. “You have to be responsible for her death. Youwere the one who killed her.”

“How was I the one who killed her? It was her own family who argued with her and forced her, whichcaused the fatal accident. They were the ones who killed her.

“And Emma—if it weren’t for Emma calling them about it, Cece wouldn’t have died either,” Adriansaid hatefully.

He was blaming his wife through and through.

He felt that Emma indirectly killed Celine.

Caroline just looked at him—what a hopeless man.

Belinda refused to deal with him and left it to Caroline.

Just he wait—sooner or later, Caroline was going to deal with this scumbag.
