Chapter 2968

Serenity and Austin did not head inside right away.

Austin stared at her and asked, “Can we have a few words, Serenity?”

Serenity replied with a smile, “Of course. You can tell me anything.”

“Mom and Dad fought because of me. I want to be a private chef. I’m confident I can juggle my

business at the same time, but my mom objected. She thinks that I already have a career and that

even if I like to cook, I can do it at home. There’s no need for me to be a private chef.

“A chef is a professional job, but Mom doesn’t like it. She didn’t want me to become someone else’s

chef because of my identity as a young master of the Yorks.”

Austin sounded frustrated.

Tania’s objection had also led to her and Liam fighting.

Austin was different from Zachary.

Zachary was raised by their grandparents, sharing the closest bond with them. Although Austin also

received education from his grandparents, he spent more time with his parents. Hence, he cared about

his parents’ approval a lot.

Austin did not need to inherit the family company as he was not the eldest son. However, he started

managing some of the family businesses that year besides his own business.

He was free to pursue his ambitions without much concern.

He thought his parents would support him once he spoke to them.

Unexpectedly, Tania was against it, while Liam supported him. That led to their quarrel.

After Tania went upstairs, Austin and Liam thought she was sulking in the room.

Little did they know that she had left the house secretly and had come over to Zachary’s home.

Austin and Liam even took turns to knock on Tania’s door and apologize to her. However, the room

turned out to be empty.

If it were not for Tania’s message, they would have waited like fools. They were expecting her to come

out of the room herself after her anger dissipated.

Serenity said, “Tania told me about it. I explained to her that you enjoy cooking and that becoming a

private chef is your wish. As your family, we should offer you our support.

“Mom has come around now. Don’t blame yourself. Your parents’ relationship is strong. They won’t fall

out because of a small matter. Even if they fight, they’ll make amends soon.”

Liam had been doting on Tania for decades.

She only got angry because it was the first time he did not take her side.

“Actually, Tania wasn’t angry at you. She was furious at Liam for not agreeing with her.”

Austin pressed his lips together and gave a resigned smile. “That’s true. I’m not important enough to

make Mom angry. The only person who can rile her up is my dad.”

Liam and Tania were truly in love.

Zachary and Austin were like sidekicks in comparison.

“Thanks for putting in a good word for me, Serenity.”

While Tania was open-minded, she would sometimes mind other people’s opinions. Whenever that

happened, she would think Zachary and Austin had embarrassed her.novelbin

Austin could understand his mother.

Nevertheless, Tania always came around quickly.

Austin still expressed his gratitude nonetheless.

“Austin, I want to ask you something, and I hope you can be honest with me.”

Serenity suddenly lowered her voice. New chapter avаilable o? Drаmаnovels.com

Austin’s eyes gleamed. He felt that she seemed to know something.

He replied, “Ask away. I’ll answer you honestly.”

“Is the person you’ll be working as a chef for the girl Nana had chosen for you?”

Austin was rendered speechless.

How did Serenity know?
