Chapter 2925

Carrie hung up after a few words with Mr. Longbottom. He always only asked about her whereabouts

and when she would go home.

She did not want to stay at the store anymore. Turning around, she saw the three missus sitting at the

cashier, with several bodyguards sitting or standing at the entrance.

She was burning with jealousy.

It was only a small bookstore, but six bodyguards were inside. Serenity, Jasmine, and Camryn each

had two bodyguards.

Carrie also had two bodyguards following her whenever she went out now, but these bodyguards only

acted respectfully when there were others around. They were cold and controlling behind the scenes,

dictating her every move. They were totally different from Serenity’s bodyguards.

She thought about how Serenity could not recognize her after she changed her face.

Although Camryn was her sister, she was blind for ten years. Despite regaining her eyesight, it was

only partially recovered, and Camryn could only see things up close. Things with a little distance would

appear blurry.novelbin

She was like people with severe short-sightedness.

Now that she thought about it, Camryn did not have much impression of her current appearance.

Camryn was only familiar with her voice. She could just make her voice sharper when she spoke later.

Considering this, Carrie walked back to the shelf and took the books she left behind. She approached

the cashier and smiled, putting the books on the counter. Utilizing the skills she learned recently, she

deliberately altered the way she spoke, saying to Serenity, “How much for all of these?”

After Carrie came closer to them, Camryn stared at her, finding her figure and voice familiar. She

thought the woman sounded like Carrie, but her face looked different.

Camryn had met Carrie a few times after regaining her eyesight. She remembered what Carrie looked

like.

Serenity said the total, and Carrie paid for it. After Serenity packed the books into a paper bag for her,

she smiled at the three missus and left.

The bodyguards from the Longbottoms did not want to fetch her, parking their car at a distance, but if

they, as bodyguards, mistreated their missus in public, it might arouse suspicion.

The Longbottom bodyguards ended up driving the car over. One of them came out of the car with an

umbrella and approached Carrie to shield her from the rain when she left the bookstore. He said

respectfully, “Madam, please be careful.”

Without a word, Carrie walked to the car and left soon.

After Carrie left, Camryn walked out of the store and stood at the entrance, looking at the car driving

away into the distance. She asked her bodyguard, “Did that woman leave in a car? I heard someone

calling her madam.”

“That woman’s bodyguard came to pick her up in a car. You did not mishear. They did call her madam.”

Camryn thought, ‘Such a young madam! She must only be in her twenties.’

That woman’s age was also similar to Carrie's.

“You feel the same?” Serenity asked, stunned.
