“I’m envious of you, Serenity. Your relationship with Zachary is still as sweet as ever despite being
married for so long.”
Camryn had regained her sight. She was putting a rose bouquet together for Serenity herself.
Serenity smiled. “You and Callum are just as close. There’s no need to be envious of us.”
She added, “It feels as if Zachary and I had just gotten our marriage license yesterday. Not much time
has passed since then.”
Camryn smiled. “Indeed. It hasn’t even been ten years. However, you and Zachary will surely stay this
way even after decades.”
She passed the bouquet to Serenity, who paid for it. Camryn did not want to charge her for the
bouquet, but Serenity insisted. She said it would feel as if Camryn was the one giving Zachary the
bouquet if she did not pay for it.
Upon hearing that, Camryn quickly accepted her money.
“I’m going to York Corporation now, Camryn. Drop by my house with Callum this weekend. I’ll cook upnovelbin
something delicious.”
Camryn was walking Serenity out of the shop when Serenity invited her over for a meal over the
weekend.
Camryn glanced at Serenity’s bump and said, “How can I let you cook? Won’t you feel nauseous when
you smell something cooking?”
“No. I love it. It’s weird. Maybe the baby loves food too.”
Serenity added, “My cravings change throughout the pregnancy.”
Camryn grinned. “That might be the case. I’ve never experienced it. I don’t even know when I can be a
mother.”
Her body was still in recovery. She was unable and not suited to get pregnant because she was on
medication.
Serenity stopped and held Camryn’s hand. She consoled, “Dr. Carden said she’s confident that she
can help you to conceive within a few years. Don’t worry, and focus on recovering first.
“Look at me. I only got pregnant after a year. Many people thought I was infertile. Having a child
requires some divine intervention too.”
Camryn nodded. “I know. I’m content with having my sight back. I’m also lucky enough to be able to
cure my health issues. Waiting for a few more years doesn’t matter. It gives Callum and I more time to
be alone together anyway.”
“You’re right. I wanted to spend a few years with Zachary before trying for a baby. If we happened to
get pregnant, we would welcome it with open arms. If we didn’t, we would’ve waited patiently.”
If it were up to Serenity, she would prefer trying for a baby two or three years into her marriage.
However, her husband was Zachary. They had not been using any form of birth control, yet she did not
get pregnant for a year thus causing her to feel pressured about having a child.
Luckily, those days were over.
The baby in her womb was growing well. She would be able to feel its movements after some time.
Jasmine could already feel her baby moving, and she had gotten pregnant earlier.
At that moment, her phone rang.
She thought it was Callum, but it was her mother-in-law.
After obtaining their marriage license, Callum had moved into the Newman’s villa. They would only visit
