Chapter 2868

Before Julian could respond, Quinn’s voice traveled from the top of the stairs.

“Food’s ready!”

Zoey called from the kitchen.

Everyone immediately entered the kitchen and clambered over each other to carry out the ingredients

Zoey had prepared for the meat fondue.

Apart from Dave, who was not around, everyone sat around the table and dug into the piping-hot

fondue.

Will even grabbed a bottle of good liquor from his dad’s collection and four small cups, asking Zoey,

“Mom, is it okay if we have a bit to drink tonight?”

“If you don’t plan on going out after this, I’ll allow you to have a small glass each. Any more than that isnovelbin

a no-go.”

If they had too much and got drunk, their work tomorrow would be affected.

Will hummed in acknowledgment and said, “Okay, just a small glass then.”

A little was better than nothing.

“Quinn is a girl, so you should drink less.”

Will only poured half a glass for his little sister.

Quinn was very dissatisfied with this. “Yeah, I’m a girl, but my alcohol tolerance isn’t any worse than

yours or Mark’s. I can remain rational after a small glass.”

“If you keep trying to bargain for more, I’ll only give you a sip. Julian can have that glass.”

Will used the authority of an older brother to control his sister’s alcohol intake.

After he finished pouring, he leaned in close and whispered into Quinn’s ear, “If you drink only a bit and

stay sober, you can ask Julian if he’s being sincere once he’s drunk. They always say that a man is the

most honest when he’s drunk. He’ll definitely be honest if you ask him when he’s drunk.”

Quinn did not know whether to laugh at this and replied in a whisper, “His tolerance is really good. He

could down that whole bottle of liquor and still might not get drunk.

Trying to get Julian drunk with just a small glass of liquor was basically impossible.

“And I believe that Julian is being sincere.”

Upon saying that, Quinn grabbed some salad for Julian with the tongs and put it on his plate, smiling

and saying, “You shouldn’t drink so much either. After dinner, let’s go out for a walk.”

“Okay.”

“It’s cold outside,” Zoey said.

“Julian’s from Wiltspoon, he won’t be able to stand it.”

“I’ve lived here for decades but I still avoid going out as much as possible during wintertime each year. I

can’t stand the cold of Summervale’s winter.”

When she first moved here, her children were still young, so she would bring her children back to her

parents’ home for the winter.

Julian said with a smile, “I’m not afraid of the cold.”

“Will!” Quinn exclaimed. New ch?pter av?ilable o? Drамanоvels.coм

Will was teasing her.

A blush slowly overtook her face.

Quinn was speechless.
