Chapter 2810

Liberty wanted people to know that Serenity had someone formidable on her side.

Aside from investigating the truth behind Tiara and her family’s death, Liberty had traveled to Jensburg

on Audrey’s instructions to reclaim her position as the matriarch. It was also one of her strategies to

strengthen Serenity’s family background.

Although the Fisher family was gradually declining, it was still a more powerful family than the Hunts.

The Hunts had numbers, but their relatives were difficult people. It was better to avoid them because

they would only drag Serenity down.

Liberty had ignored them from the start.

“You’ve always been my supporter. We’ve been relying on each other for over ten years. I’m your

supporter as much as you are mine.”

Liberty smiled. “We’ve only had each other all along. Let’s not be sentimental anymore. You should go

on with your work. I’m going to have my breakfast now.”

“I just finished mine too. I’m about to head out. Enjoy your breakfast. Contact me if anything happens.

I’ll let Sonny video call you after he’s back in the evening.

“Oh, by the way, Duncan said he’ll pick Sonny up this evening. He saved me some trouble.”

Duncan volunteered to fetch Sonny from school eagerly after returning from Jensburg.

After the call ended, Serenity held her phone and seemed deep in thought.

Zachary asked softly, “What are you thinking about?”

She smiled, “You. I think fate is a weird thing.”novelbin

Serenity leaned her head against Zachary’s shoulder. “I never thought I could have days like this in the

past. My mom being a daughter of an elite family, and us getting married was also unexpected. Fate is

unpredictable. No one knows what will happen the next day.”

“I thought your conversation with Liberty was just catching up about life nowadays. Where did these

come from?”

Zachary pecked Serenity’s cheek. “Are you heading to the office or bookstore first? I’ll go to my office

after dropping you off.”

“The office. The students have classes now, so there’s nothing to do at the bookstore.”

“Okay.”

“By the way, Liberty shared that Hayden had revealed her true gender during a banquet last night.

Kevin had finally achieved one of his goals.”

Zachary smiled. He said, “I already knew about it. Kevin sent a message to me last night to share the

good news. Now that Callum and Kevin are settled, let’s see when Dylan and Peter make some

progress.”

A girl had visited York Corporation to look for Dylan but she met Callum instead. He had asked Dylan if

he had stolen something from her, but Dylan denied it.

Nothing happened after that.

Zachary always minded his own business if his brothers did not need his help.

They were all adults in their late twenties, and no longer kids. They certainly could handle their

personal affairs.

“Who are the targets Nana assigned to Dylan and Peter? Which family are they from? Are they from

Wiltspoon? I wonder if they’re friendly.”

Serenity was curious about Dylan’s and Peter’s potential partners.

Zachary thought she was worried that she would not get along with them. He consoled her, “We should

trust Nana’s judgment. The people she chose must be wise.”
