Hayden and Kevin went downstairs.
“Breakfast is ready, Mr. Hayden.”
The butler stood by the stairs and spoke respectfully.
She acknowledged him and went to the dining area with Kevin. The butler did not follow them.
Mr. Hayden disliked anyone standing around him while he ate. If he needed anything, he would do it
himself.
The butler thought Hayden was easy to serve.
“I guess your butler doesn’t know that you’re a woman yet.”
Hayden gave Kevin a side-eye and said, “Do I have to announce that to the entire world?”
Kevin laughed. “No. Only I need to know about it.”
“Let’s eat breakfast. I have to go to work later.”
“Okay.”
Kevin pulled Hayden’s chair out for her. He said, “I didn’t come early enough. I could’ve prepared
breakfast for you if I had arrived earlier. When my house is ready, I’ll move over and cook for you every
day.”
Renovating a villa would take a long time.
It would be his abode in Jensburg, and he had high expectations, so the renovation progress was
slower.
It would be remarkable if the house could be ready in time.
After a moment of silence, Hayden said, “What if I become picky about food because of you?”
It was a well-known fact that Kevin was good at cooking. Hayden admitted it too.
After eating the food he made, she would always find the food at the hotel or her house slightly lacking.
Kevin grinned. “We’ll be husband and wife in the future. We’ll be together every day. I’ll take care of
your three meals and never let you go hungry.”
“Kevin.”
Hayden suddenly asked seriously, “This is a hypothetical question. If we do get married, will you mind if
I remain in Jensburg to manage Queen Enterprise? Will your parents mind?”novelbin
“Why will I? You’re allowed freedom and personal space even after getting married to me. You can do
anything you want without worrying about what I think. I’ve said that I’d support you in whatever you
wish to achieve.
“My parents will be fine with it. They have many sons. They’ll be thankful as long as their sons can
settle down and not embarrass them by being single forever. My mom has been wanting to chase me
out of the family. Like my nana, she said we’re handsome but useless men who can’t even win a
woman’s heart.”
Hayden’s gaze softened. She laughed. “Parents are all the same. They don’t really mean what they
say. My parents act that way too. However, they’re the ones who love us the most.”
“You’re right. Anyway, you don’t have to worry about my parents having any opinions. You know how
open-minded they are.”
Kevin stared at Hayden passionately. He added, “You only have to care about what your husband
thinks. I don’t mind it at all. After all, we’re the ones who’ll be together for the rest of our lives.”
Hayden blushed. She said, “You’re already calling yourself my husband when we’re not married yet.”
“I’m scared you might not be able to call me that when the time comes. Actually, you can practice it on
your own. Some people already call each other hubby and wifey while dating.”
“Just eat.”
Hayden could not bring herself to do such a cringey thing.
She noticed that her future sisters-in-law also called their husbands by their names. It seemed like
Serenity would only switch her way of addressing Zachary to please him when she needed something
from him.
