Jane echoed, “That’s true. Sometimes when Laurence plays alone, and no one is watching him, you
can’t hear any sound. But when you find him, you’ll discover he’s up to mischief. There was one time
he even smeared my lipstick all over the floor.”
Elisa, having no experience with children except for Sonny, whom she always found sensible, adorable,
and smart, was surprised to learn about another side of children she had not known.
She regarded children as angels.
As for her nephew, he did not look very cute when he was born, but he was getting cuter by the day.
She took several photos of her nephew every day, claiming it was to create a growing-up documentary
for him.
Well, he cried a bit too much.
He cried when he felt hungry or needed a diaper change. Babies who had not learned how to speak
would just cry when they wanted something.
After chatting about children for a while, Jane heard Connor’s cries, and both children were awake.
She got up to pick up her son, while Chloe was already in Ben’s arms.
Holding her daughter in one arm and pulling a suitcase in the other, Remy said to Ben, “Let me help
you with Chloe. It’ll make things easier for you.”
“You help me carry the suitcase.”
Ben released his grip on the suitcase, allowing Remy to handle it, and said, “Just take it outside and
load it into the car. We’ll head to Wildridge Manor in a bit.”
Their private plane was parked at Wildridge Manor because Remy’s villa did not have enough space
for their private plane.
Remy shook his head, muttering, "I want to hold Chloe, and he still asked me to pull the suitcase. You
and Jane are leaving soon, so let me cuddle Chloe a little longer. It won’t hurt to let me hold her a bit
longer.”
Muttering aside, Remy still helped his brother with the suitcase.
Ben greeted Serenity and Elisa with a nod while holding his daughter. He waited for his wife to
approach with their son, then said to her, “Jane, let’s go.”
“Where’s Laurence?”
“He’s still outside playing with Sonny.”
“Just go call him in.”
Jane said, “Seren, we’ll make a move. We’ll come visit after you’ve unloaded the precious cargo.”
As Serenity had not given birth yet, Zachary probably would not let her travel far.
Serenity got up to see them off.
Elisa and Remy were going to send Jane’s family to Wildridge Manor.
Once she got out of the house, Sonny ran over to Serenity. Serenity held his hand and asked him to
say goodbye to everyone.
Reluctantly, Sonny waved his hand and repeatedly called out to Laurence, “Laurence, make sure to
come play with me during your holidays.”
“Okay.”
Laurence was also reluctant to leave, but his holiday was coming to an end, and he had to go back with
Mommy Jane. His mentor was waiting for him in FC Manor.
“I have work tomorrow, or else I would have sent you back to the manor.”
It was already afternoon. If she sent Jane and the others and then went back to the city, it would be too
much running around, and Zachary would worry.
Furthermore, she had already agreed to pick Zachary up from work this evening.
Jane said, “Remy and Elisa can send us, it’s not the first time we’ve visited. You shouldn’t tire yourself
out at work, take care of yourself and the baby.”
