Chapter 2764

Corey was thinking that if her son was willing to be Sonny’s stepfather, at least Duncan’s small family

would have a child. Maybe because of Sonny, Liberty might even have another one in the future.

Sonny always wanted a little sister.

Everyone assumed that the baby in Serenity’s belly was a boy.

Sonny, wanting a little sister, would pester his mother to give birth to one. This way, Duncan could have

his biological child, even if it was a girl. Corey would be pleased as long as it was Duncan’s flesh and

blood.

Of course, Corey did not dare to reveal any of these thoughts.

The car accident that Duncan had experienced had softened his parents’ rigid views.

“I’ll head back now. Whenever you’re free, come over. Sonny should come over often.”

Serenity insisted on taking the two children home. Corey gave her some nutritional supplements and

asked her to take them to replenish her body.

“Mrs. Lewis, look at my waist, it’s getting thicker. If I keep taking these, I’ll end up with a barrel waist.”

Serenity was currently most afraid of supplements.

The house was filled with them.

Corey chuckled. “This is not fat. You’re pregnant. Your waistline will change and it’s normal. In the later

stages of pregnancy, your belly will be round, and your waist will appear a bit thicker. After giving birth,

you will gradually slim down.

“Take these. Some are supplements, and some are snacks that Sonny likes. I wanted you to stay for

dinner, but you’re in a hurry to leave.”

Corey also gave Sonny and Laurence some pocket money and the two boys were too shy to accept

the cash.novelbin

Corey smiled as she handed the cash to Laurence, saying, “Laurence, it was lovely meeting you, so

take it as a gift for our first meeting. Quickly accept it.”

Laurence glanced at Serenity, who nodded, indicating he should accept it. Only then did he dare to

take it and express his gratitude to Corey.

However, Sonny spoke up, “Grandmom Corey, I’ve met you many times, I don’t need the money.”

Corey insisted, “Get some toys and treats for yourself with this alright?”

“Mrs. Lewis, Sonny really doesn’t need it.”

Serenity attempted to return the pocket money to Corey.

Sonny was no stranger to the place. He was a frequent visitor at Woodwest when Duncan was home.

Whenever Derek picked him up from preschool because Liberty was busy, he would stay at Westwood

Manor under Corey’s care until Liberty arrived to take him home, often already fast asleep.

Despite Serenity’s efforts, Corey insisted on handing the pocket money to Sonny, so Serenity had to let

him accept it to avoid upsetting Corey.

As Serenity departed with the two kids, Corey watched until their cars were out of sight before turning

back toward the mansion.

Westwood Manor was exceptionally large but currently quiet.

Perhaps due to her age, Corey who used to enjoy tranquility when she was young now longed for the

house to be lively again.

Her youngest son, Duncan, was nearing thirty-seven.

With the grandchildren not living with her, the house only bustled with activity during festive seasons

when the children and grandchildren returned.
