Chapter 2758

On the day Liberty left Wiltspoon, Duncan did not follow her to the airport because he was angry at her.

He also did not answer her calls or reply to her messages and made her go to Jensburg worried.

On the contrary, Liberty was still thinking about Duncan in Jensburg. She even asked Zachary and

Serenity to take Sonny to Duncan’s house and console him to help him regain his confidence.

Upon thinking of that day’s incident, Duncan’s face flushed.

“I’m not angry.”

Liberty poured some coffee for him. “Don’t ever have those thoughts again. If I’m tired of you dragging

me down, I would’ve distanced myself from you long ago. Why would I get closer to you and have more

trust in you?”

She had rejected Duncan firmly the last time he confessed to her.novelbin

Their love was not explosive or intense. Instead, it had built up gradually through their daily interactions

and mutual support, and their hearts grew closer. Duncan no longer expressed his love openly, and

Liberty did not talk about accepting his flaws anymore.

Nevertheless, they had become each other’s anchor.

They were already a couple in the eyes of others.

When the food was served, Liberty did not eat much. She just kept getting food for Duncan.

Duncan was satisfied with having a beautiful woman taking care of him. He almost ate until his

stomach burst.

Since it had taken several hours for him to travel to Jensburg, Liberty told him to rest in the hotel. She

would only show him around at places near the hotel later in the evening.

Jim got three hotel rooms for Duncan and his bodyguards. However, Duncan wanted the room next to

Liberty’s. Jim was generous enough to switch his room with Duncan since Duncan was only staying for

a night and returning to WIltspoon the next evening.

It was a peak period for Lewis & Co., so everyone in the company was busy. As the CEO, Duncan had

to be around to manage.

Liberty told Duncan’s bodyguards to rest and she pushed Duncan herself. Her room was on the 18th

floor.

After taking the elevator to their floor, they went to Duncan’s room. She opened the door with the key

card and pushed him in.

“I rejected Kevin’s offer to stay in a presidential suite as I’ll be here long-term. It’s not nice to keep the

suite to myself. I think this room is more than enough.

“You won’t mind, right?”

With Duncan’s wealth, he mostly stayed in five-star hotels and presidential suites whenever he was

away from home.

Liberty was worried that he would think the room was tiny.

She did not have high standards, nor did she have the financial means yet.

Once her company was established in Jensburg, she would move into the company and only buy a

house after earning some money. That way, she would not have to live at Fortress Hotel long.

It was mostly because Kevin refused to accept her payment.

Liberty was enjoying free food and accommodation.

Even if Serenity was the York family’s missus, Liberty still felt embarrassed.

She was eager to get her company up and move out of the hotel as soon as possible. That way, she

would not be taking advantage of Zachary’s family.
