Chapter 2743

“I lost everything. I’m penniless. Where can I go?”

Adrian still had brotherly love for Celine. He opened his wallet and gave Celine all the cash he had. He

also took a bank card and handed it to her, saying, “I can only give you this much. The PIN is my birth

date. There’s not much money inside, but it’ll be enough for you to hang on for now.

“Go find a hotel to stay and tend to your wounds. I’ll make arrangements for you and explain things to

Mom a few days later when she’s no longer angry.”

Celine accepted the money and card. She cried, “Thank you, Adrian. You’re the best.”

Adrian sighed. “Leave quickly. Otherwise, you’ll truly be penniless once they discover I’ve given you

money and snatch it back.”novelbin

Celine nodded in tears.

She knew that her sisters-in-law would only treat her worse and humiliate her if she stayed any longer.

Not only them but the gazes of all the servants and Caroline’s haughtiness also hurt her heart.

“Adrian Clark!” Emma yelled.

She rushed over and snatched the cash and card from Celine.

Adrian tried to stop her, but she turned and slapped him in the face.

“Are you trying to get me and our children chased out by Mom as well? Didn’t you hear what Mom said

when she ordered me to chase this bitch out? How dare you give her money and a card. You’re defying

Mom. If you want to die, die alone. Don’t get me and the kids involved in this.”

Adrian, who was about to scold his wife, wilted upon hearing her words.

Emma dragged him away. She would not allow him to help Celine.

She had painstakingly set up a scheme and bet everything on it to achieve what she could. It was very

satisfying. She could not let Adrian alleviate Celine’s suffering.

“Get lost. If you don’t, I’ll send someone to chase you out.”

Emma turned to scold Celine while pulling Adrian away.

Celine was angry, sad, and filled with resentment. She had the urge just to bang her head into a wall

and die.

However, she could not die yet.

The culprit had yet to be found.

That person may have wanted her to die, but she would not let that person have their way.

Celine left.

Liberty was still unaware of how the issue had escalated.

She lay on the bed, unable to fall asleep after returning to the hotel the previous night.

She only gradually fell asleep when it was almost morning.

Although the sun was up and the temperature had risen slightly, the weather was still cold.

Liberty was woken up by her phone’s ringtone. Her head was throbbing from the lack of sleep.

Nevertheless, she took her phone and answered the call after seeing Serenity’s name flashing on the

screen.

“Liberty.”

“Mm.”

Her voice was hoarse.

“You’re not up yet? Head back to sleep and call me after you’ve rested enough.”

Serenity was concerned about her sister. If Liberty was still resting, she could call her back later.

Zachary had already gone back to work at the company.

Serenity was also supposed to resume working. However, Sonny had taken a day off from school to

accompany Laurence, and she had to host Ben and Jane, who rarely visited. Therefore, she would only

resume working the following day.
