Chapter 2706

Kevin waited outside a conference room at Queen Enterprise with a money bouquet.

Hayden was still in a meeting.

The woman was truly busier than he was.

She managed a huge company and had endless meetings, paperwork, and business negotiations.

Although it was time to get off work and the sky had turned dark, Hayden’s meeting went on.

The evening wind was strong.

Kevin specially picked a larger coat to wear when he was heading out, so Hayden could stick close to

him and share his warmth.

She probably did not need it though.

After about ten minutes, the conference room door opened. The senior executives who attended the

meeting filed out of the room.

When they saw Kevin with the huge bouquet, they stopped their discussions and greeted him politely.

“Mr. Kevin.”

“Mr. York.”

They addressed him differently, but he returned each greeting with a smile.

Since Zachary was not around, those who said “Mr. York” were addressing Kevin.

When the crowd was far enough, they whispered, “Mr. Kevin is truly the most persistent and shameless

man I’ve ever seen.”

He had managed to win over the heart of their young and cold Mr. Queen.

Kevin knew that those people would discuss the same thing after they were out of earshot without

needing to listen to them.

While they treated him respectfully, they were all badmouthing him behind his back.

Hugh exited after the senior executives. He smiled at Kevin upon spotting him. However, once he saw

the money bouquet Kevin was holding, he immediately went forward and held his hands out. He said,

“Kevin, it must be tiring to hold such a huge bouquet. Come, let me lighten your load.”

Kevin took a sidestep and avoided Hugh’s hands. Then, he batted his hand away and said, “It’s not

heavy. I don’t need your help. Where’s your brother?”

“He’s inside. How can such a big bouquet not be heavy? Give it to me. I can help you hold it. I won’t

mind you sending more of these bouquets over too.”

Hugh tried to snatch the money bouquet again.

Kevin feinted a kick, which forced Hugh to step out of reach of the bouquet.

“You kicked me, Kevin. Aren’t you scared that I might tell on you to my brother?”

Kevin was not afraid of his future brother-in-law’s threat at all. He turned the tables by saying, “Believe

it or not, I can complain about you in front of Don and Sophia. I’ll tell her that you’re old enough to start

considering marriage and that she can start arranging blind dates for you every day.”

Hugh and Hayden were twins, only born ten minutes apart.

Hugh was indeed at a suitable age for marriage.

“You win, Kevin. You won’t really do that, will you? Hayden doesn’t like tattletales.

“Forget it. I don’t need your bouquet. I’ve seen it many times before, and I have plenty of money

myself.”

Hugh did not actually want it. He just could not resist teasing Kevin whenever he saw him waiting fornovelbin

his sister with a bouquet.
